Herman Miller Embody chair: negative Experience after 6 weeks of daily use (8-10h/day)
Unfortunately thats just how it goes for chairs.... everyone's body is different and its simply not possible to make an ergonomic chair that works for everyone. I have an Embody after trying the Steelcase Gesture and Haworth Fern, and I hated those other chairs. The Embody is the only chair thats ev

How are you liking the chair?
I’ve had the Steelcase Gesture (seat feels practically unpadded after a couple months), the Embody Gaming (returned after two weeks, miserably painful for me), and now have the Liber Novo for a few weeks and absolutely love it. No pain, the lumbar adjustment is great, seat padding is plush, and the

Best Office Chair Brand Right Now In 2026?
HM Embody or Steelcase Gesture. HM-E for WFH & SC-G for Office. As someone with back issues, I personally do enjoy the embody more, my only con is the arm rests could be a bit more adjustable like the Gesture. Otherwise the seat while it looks 'flat' the springs underneath have amazing support. IMO,

Office chairs kinda just all suck
I like to sit up straight as well. that‘s why I chose a chair with strong lumbar support to keep my back upright, support me sufficiently and also where I don‘t need to lean my upper back on the backrest. Steelcase Gesture is exactly that for me. No leaning back. Sitting upright by good support in l

Herman miller vs Steelcase?
Best you can do is read reviews pick one and try it out and return if you don’t like it. For example. I’m 6’1” and 210lbs with a more athletic build. I tried all the steelcase ones at a dealer and my boss had a Herman miller aeron I tried. I HATED the aeron, gesture and amia. The leap on the other h

Going insane trying to find a good chair.
Buying a chair is honestly like buying a shoes. You really never know until you sit in one. That said,.consider the height/weight of the person you are getting the feedback from. I am 6'3 and 200 lbs, I didn't like the Gesture. My wife is 4'11 and ~100 lbs, she loves it. Pros: The build quality is t

Not One Of Those Miracle Deal Gesture Finds But...
It’s such a relief to find a chair that actually supports your lower back during long hours. The fact that even your cat loves it is the cherry on top!

Not One Of Those Miracle Deal Gesture Finds But...
I never really experienced pain, but the lumbar just fits like a glove for me. Don't get me wrong. The Amia and the leap v2 are still great seats. The Gesture is just better with it's arms as a guitar player.

Not One Of Those Miracle Deal Gesture Finds But...
I recently purchased the same model with the headrest. When adjusted according to the recommended guidelines, I experienced significant lower‑back discomfort, so I’ve had to position the seat fully backwards. This gives me the proper lumbar support i desire, but it also leaves roughly a hand width b
