This is not a joke, this is my friends apartment setup

Yes, because you can't play the guitar on a regular chair. But I can do it on my Steelcase Gesture. The armrest can be lowered all the way.

Chairs for wide-load ppl to sit on like a pretzel

hard out, sitting like a normal human for 8 hours is impossible. i’m a cross-legged sitter too and the biggest issue in nz is finding stuff that isn't just narrow office depot junk. definitely go try the steelcase gesture if any showroom has it, the armrests move out of the way completely so you can

Best Office Chair Brand Right Now In 2026?

HM Embody or Steelcase Gesture. HM-E for WFH & SC-G for Office. As someone with back issues, I personally do enjoy the embody more, my only con is the arm rests could be a bit more adjustable like the Gesture. Otherwise the seat while it looks 'flat' the springs underneath have amazing support. IMO,

Can't decide - have you tried any of these?

Love my Steelcase Gesture. Absolutely love it. I can work an entire shift sitting in it or play games until the sun is up. Doesn't matter. You can really dial it in. That being said, I hate the arms. They're versatile, yes but the lack of being able to lock them in place drives me crazy. I saw you m

Going insane trying to find a good chair.

Buying a chair is honestly like buying a shoes. You really never know until you sit in one. That said,.consider the height/weight of the person you are getting the feedback from. I am 6'3 and 200 lbs, I didn't like the Gesture. My wife is 4'11 and ~100 lbs, she loves it. Pros: The build quality is t

Embody vs Aeron vs Steelcase leap v2 or other alternative

I must say, that i am 6"3 and 130kg. So im on the complete other spectrum size wise :D I dont like the Aeron, since i am not a Mesh-Guy. And also that rim around the seat itself was very uncomfy for my liking. The different steelcase variants are obv. not all the same.I only tested the Gesture and L

What chair do u use

i went through this hunt last year. for upright aiming the aeron size B is perfect but used might stretch your budget. the steelcase leap v2 can be found under 500 used and has amazing lumbar support without forcing you back. also check ergonomic office chair for new options under 400. skip the gest

Going to pull the trigger on embody, fern, leap or something?

At 6'2" 280lbs more-torso-than-legs, the Embody is probably your best of the three, but for specific reasons most posts don't mention. Embody's pixel back conforms to body shape better than the Fern's bionic-frame back, which assumes a more average torso width. People with broader shoulders or back

Not One Of Those Miracle Deal Gesture Finds But...

I never really experienced pain, but the lumbar just fits like a glove for me. Don't get me wrong. The Amia and the leap v2 are still great seats. The Gesture is just better with it's arms as a guitar player.

Best desk chair?

I have a steelcase gesture v2, it is a great chair, and should be considered by anyone looking for a highly adjustable chair. I do wanna try the embody though to see how it compares but idk where you can try before you buy
