Worth the switch?

Right, as a fellow Sony 20-70 f/4 owner and M43 shooter, let me share my thoughts… I own the Sony A7C (so, a step up from your A7II) along with the 20-70 f/4, plus a few other lenses. I also have an OM-5 paired with the 12-45 f/4 Pro. When I bought the Sony 20-70 f/4, my intention was to replace the

Upgrade paths beyond the GX85+15mm

Maybe Sony A7C(or A7C II) + Samyang/Viltrox lens around 28-35mm would be perfect for your needs?I upgraded from GX85 to Sony A7 III but I also considered A7C and I was able to hold them both and A7C was very comfortable in my (small) hands - slightly more comfortable than GX85 in my opinion. It won'

Sony A7C vs a6700 -- is it worth the extra money?

If low light shooting is a big deal to you, full frame might be worth the trade-off of being more expensive, and having larger and heavier glass. Which is a real thing and sometimes I wish I had more of an APS-C Sony setup to be smaller and lighter. For the most part you can actually have a pretty c

Sacrificing shutter speed or ISO in low light?

Not on my Sony A7C II. I've tested it extensively in nighttime Japan with amazing results with barely any noise. Dunno about other cameras but got me it's been night and day since I've started doing it.

Camera

IMO, upgrading to a mirrorless like the Sony ZV-E10 II will noticeably improve your stream quality, especially with background blur and color. However, the camera alone won’t create a “cinematic” look. The biggest impact comes from good lighting and a fast lens (low f-number). A more affordable opti

Full frame vs M43. Thoughts from someone who has recently switched

I wouldn't say I've switched to FF but having added a FF setup to my m43 gear, I feel it's just another tool in the arsenal to give myself more options, particularly in low-light. I looked at the price of the OM-3 and figured it was more sensible to just buy a decent FF body and some primes if only

Was

GR IV HDF w/ flash vs Fuji x100 vi w/ black mist filter

I think Nikon may fall a little behind Sony and Canon AF, but from what I understand, they are well ahead of Fuji AF. Most shots are focused well, and the recent full-frame Nikons focus quite well in lower light. Nikon gives really good value, though, and I like their picture profile options a lot m

LUMIX S9 vs Sony A7C2 vs Fuji XT50

Both are great and it's really personal what suits you best. I liked Fuji results with 35 f1.4 and 56 f1.2 lenses, both fantastic but their AF motors are loud and autofocus is not great with those lenses. If you shoot many times under tricky artificial light then mechanical shutter in Fuji is a big

Camera upgrade advice (₹1.5L) – from Nikon Z30[Read description]

Given your use case, my first thoughts are the Sony A7iii and the A7C. You'll have a lot of E mount lenses to choose from either. (Or if you get a really good deal on the FX30, get that- it'll be perfect for you- amazing low light even though it's apsc) However since you mentioned 4k30 feeling limit
