S1II 60fps 14-bit RAW?

Yes. The 70fps is 12 bit, accessible through speed priority. Image priority is 60 fps in 14 bit. My guess is people care a lot more about Sony because the a7 series has always had fairly slow e shutter capability. And that this 30fps puts it at the same speed as the A1/ii

Few of my Rifleman / Titipounamu Photos

Hey there! So these were taken on my A1 II with the Sony 200-600 G OSS and Sony 70-200 GM II. I know people like to think expensive cameras solve all the problems (seeing that daily working in a camera store), but that is really far from true. I’ve managed some amazing bird photos at Zealandia with

A Sony A7IV User’s Review of the Nikon Z8

For sure. But that kind of gets at why I want to switch. On Sony, to get more than 10 fps, you need to get an A1 or an A9. An A9 III is over $5000 used, and with the A9 line, you only get 24MP. The A1 is $3700 used and the A1 II is well over $6000. You can get the Z8 for $2700 used, which is the cur

Best Camera Brand for beginner nature photographer?

For wildlife, the best (almost) no caveat systems would be OM System or Sony. Some of the most important features for me would be a stacked sensor with decent buffer, pre-capture, and blackout free shooting (which is essential for birds in flight). Canon freezes up when the buffer is full, Nikon lac

Hasselblad X2D II ?

Despite having AF-C and a better focusing system, I am not sure I would choose the X2D II to shoot photos of kids or ppl in events. Sure, it can be done but it will not be as quick as the typical mainstream camera brands like the Canon R5 or Sony A7RV and so on. in my opinion, landscape and Real Est

Is Nikon Z the best camera series or am I missing something?

Well, you said the purpose was to split hair so I answered. One could also say the Z8 is only marginally better than the Z6 III for twice the price, and actually has a worse IBIS and EVF. The Z8 has 2 different slots, one takes CF, the other takes SD. The Z9 has 2 CF-only slots. Sony has hybrid slot

Best set up for an amateur bird photographer that won't completely break the bank?

I had the Sony a6700 and 200-600 before getting my A1ii. It’s an amazing setup for bird photography. Super fast autofocus, great reach and image quality with the 200-600. Only downside is no pre-capture. You won’t notice any difference between APSC and full frame as an amateur. I’ve even shot the a6

Canon powershot. Is it time for an upgrade? (First time posting)

I own an insane setup, the Sony A1ii with a Sony 300mm f2.8 lens. If I were to go back and buy something else for birding specifically I’d 100% go with the Olympus OM1mkii and whichever lens is in your budget. Smaller, more compact lenses, I already crop like crazy on full frame most of the time. Th

Is Nikon Z the best camera series or am I missing something?

You need to define what you mean by "functionality" then. Sony's the A9 III does a few things better than Nikon's z8 / z9 flagships : global shutter capable of 120 pictures / second in burst mode at max resolution + flash sync up to 1/80000s better EVF with ~3x the resolution and twice the framerate

What Camera system/camera would be right for me and my mother?

I'd say there are six options from the main three brands, in two categories: Brand-New mid-range pro cameras:Canon R6 IIISony a7VBoth of these have 33MP, fast burst, good video, the Sony has higher IQ, the Canon is faster, but they're very close cameras. Personally I'd go Sony every time because of
