One of the flashiest Anna's hummingbirds I've seen - Southern California
The best thing about the first photo is that I didn't touch the saturation on his head in post! Over the past few days this guy has taken over the feeder at my window, chasing a passing costas, a few other Anna's, and even an Allen's away successfully - he is quite an aggressive little fellow. Sony

S1II 60fps 14-bit RAW?
Yes. The 70fps is 12 bit, accessible through speed priority. Image priority is 60 fps in 14 bit. My guess is people care a lot more about Sony because the a7 series has always had fairly slow e shutter capability. And that this 30fps puts it at the same speed as the A1/ii

Few of my Rifleman / Titipounamu Photos
Hey there! So these were taken on my A1 II with the Sony 200-600 G OSS and Sony 70-200 GM II. I know people like to think expensive cameras solve all the problems (seeing that daily working in a camera store), but that is really far from true. I’ve managed some amazing bird photos at Zealandia with

What kind of camera should i get?
I am a professional Nature photographer that does stock. I will be honest and raw with you. There is no market for Nature Stock. I shoot with top of the line professional equipment and dedicate countless days to shooting true wild animals in their natural environment. I am talking National Geographi

Looking left to Full frame & Looking right to M43 for wildlife
I use the Sony A7C. Dynamic range at base ISO of course it's better, but with difficult conditions that are common in wildlife photography, I haven't found the difference to be that huge at high ISO especially with software like DXO and Lr ai denoise. I consistently shoot at 12800 on the OM-1II and

Is the Nikon z8 really that good?
they are different tools, the z8 can shoot much faster, has some specific wildlife modes in its af and the faster sensor allows for better video. so for wildlife the z8 is better since that is what its designed for, the telephoto lenses on z mount is also a bonus. on the other hand the a7rV has a hi

A Sony A7IV User’s Review of the Nikon Z8
For sure. But that kind of gets at why I want to switch. On Sony, to get more than 10 fps, you need to get an A1 or an A9. An A9 III is over $5000 used, and with the A9 line, you only get 24MP. The A1 is $3700 used and the A1 II is well over $6000. You can get the Z8 for $2700 used, which is the cur

Pricing Insight? (Wedding Package)
You need better skill, gear, and flash before you offer to shoot a wedding by yourself. I'm not saying a brand new Sony A1 II but at least a used pro model like a 5D Mark III and whichever 70-200mm f/2.8 you can afford. And flash! You only survived your last wedding because you shot in blazing sunli

Best Camera Brand for beginner nature photographer?
For wildlife, the best (almost) no caveat systems would be OM System or Sony. Some of the most important features for me would be a stacked sensor with decent buffer, pre-capture, and blackout free shooting (which is essential for birds in flight). Canon freezes up when the buffer is full, Nikon lac

Screw new gear, why aren’t we all just buying our dream cameras from 7 / 8 years ago? They’re cheap.
Some of the best photos of my life taken on that old hunk of junk, sure my Sony A1ii is 100x more powerful than the Canon but that doesn’t mean the photos I took on that are any worse for it
