Windows version 4.4 vs 5.0 HDR help.
Running Windows 4.4 on the left looks great, working as intended, HDR and brightness is PERFECT. It's a little brighter and washed out in the screenshot as capturing HDR and it's problems are difficult. Windows 5.0 on the right there as you can see is just darker. Lacking brightness. I can artificia

Just got a 9070xt wondering which monitor I should get
Hardly at all. Newer QD-OLEDs and WOLEDs have a lot of burn-in mitigation like pixel shifting, pixel cleaning, panel refresh. I picked up a Samsung G80SD around the new year and I’ve really started to appreciate this monitor the more and more I use it. Not an ounce of pixel retention from what I can

MONITOR PSA: Your GPU has bandwidth limits!
I have a g80sd oled monitor that can do 4k 240hz. On my old pc I had a dp1.4 hooked up to my rtx 2070. I could enable 4k 240hz. However, my monitor's screen would momentarily turn black a couple times a day. When playing a game in fullscreen and using alt-tab to switch between the game and windows,

Does anyone have issue with HDR?
For me is working fine. But the black levels seemed prety crushed. Like brightness slider to minimum. No shadow details, missing any details in black areas. Testing on rtx5090 on Samsung g80sd.

Overblown SDR content in HDR mode (especially reds)
According to this, you should be using Standard or ECO modes, adjusted separately for SDR and HDR: https://tftcentral.co.uk/best-settings/guide-best-settings-for-the-samsung-odyssey-g80sd Also, have you looked into HDR EOTF tracking, EDR upscaling calibration, EDID override in BetterDisplay, and/or

27 inch OLED vs 32 inch basic IPS for a triple screen setup
Great to hear that! Yeah, I have a seperate gaming monitor for my PC gaming and I use a Samsung G80SD which is 32 inch OLED and 4k. So I'm aware how significantly better OLED is compared to IPS. Which is why despite reading that 32 inch is better, I was hesitant to miss an opportunity to get OLED. I

4K is the move?
I have a Samsung g80sd 240 Hz 4k oled and a 5080 and I'm supper happy I swapped from 1440p TN panel and a 1080ti. 4k has 2.25 x more pixels then 1440p. I can play almost all games I like at high toax graphics 120-200 fps. Where I appreciate my 4k display the most is in non arena styles fps games ( n
