Best pc for $2k-$2.5k

For a motherboard, I would go with a b850m from gigabyte as it supports am5 and all the later things. For psu, just find a good one from cybernetics though I would recommend at the very least 750W gold 80+. Ram get 32gb 6000mhz ddr5 preferably with low latency though currently that’s pretty expensiv

SSD: SATA vs NVMe ?

I meant literally that. The standard architecture of the modern SSDs is that they do have a small portion of the fast SLC cache (technically the same chips, just in the SLC mode), and the rest in the MLC/TLC/QLC model. Size of the cache could be from mere gigabytes to a few tens of them usually (dep

M4 Mac mini configurations with 256 GB storage seemingly discontinued by Apple

If you're sticking with the 256GB base storage on the M4 Mac Mini, external enclosures are a game-changer for cheap, fast expansion. Grab a couple of NVMe SSDs (like Samsung 990 Pro) and pop them into USB4/Thunderbolt enclosures (like Satechi Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub) - you'll get read/write speeds c

i5-14600K + RTX 4070 + 64 GB RAM — enough for 61 MP RAWs in Capture One?

I have a similar machine, but i7 13th and a 2Tb Samsung 990 Pro as main drive (the WD Black SN850X 4Tb as secondary), the RTX 4070 is the ProArt version. I shoot with an A7rIII. Everything is smooth. I feel it doesn't even sweat and it's probably a bit overkill. Only AI masking can push it but it st

Samsung 9100pro 4TB stress test in TerraMaster D1 Plus external enclosure

Yes, def gen5 is overkill for TB4, but, in my specific case I’ve purchsed Samsung 9100pro 4tb for the very attractive price (cheaper than the same sized Samsung 990pro). And decided to reuse one of my TM D1 Plus (TB4 one) since my mac does not support TB5 anyway. In this my setup 990pro and 9100pro
