External SSD

External with a Gen4 SSD is the golden ticket. Gen5 and you lose the speed gains due to TB5 anyway. Best bet is something like a 980 pro from Samsung and an Acasis TB5 enclosure. You'll maximise the TB5 throughput this way without wasting money on a newer gen5 9100 pro ssd where you wouldn't realise

Perfomance issues

It also depends on the type of files you’re handling and if RAW- the speed of the drive where your RAW cache is being stored. What files are you processing? Large RAW files? For example, I run an old Ryzen9 5900X with an RTX3090 & 32GB 4000mhz RAM on Samsung 980 Pro 4tb editing drives & Toshiba MG E

Jonsbo CB80 - Another dual tower cooler that (just barely) fits in the NR200

Respectfully, in the real world he may only see 1-2% of a performance loss with the gpu with PCIE3. For storage SATA SSDs are arguably more than fast enough for the vast majority of games to where there is pretty much no difference between a NVME or SATA and more than fast enough for anything else o

AMD AM5 Gaming Build

That 9800X3D is going to absolutely crush 1440p gaming but you might want to consider stepping up the motherboard a bit. The B650E-M is fine but if you're already spending that much in CPU maybe look at X670E board for better VRMs and more features. Also that Patriot SSD is decent value but Samsung

Is 650$ a fair price for this computer?

It’s worth maybe 400 at most. Let’s remember that the 2060 is outdated, there’s 3 generations that are available and can be used for this price range. It’s still DDR4, which isn’t bad but it’s best to move to AM5 when you can, so cheaper for AM4 is more acceptable. 3600 is a great cpu but once again

Computer part replacements

Pretty much. Zhitai is probably the only brand where you can get to Samsung/WD/Kioxia own branded product quality with lower prices. But do keep mind that speed plays a huge factor in prices. 980 is Samsung's top of the line product but do you really need that much speed?

Any better SSD for ~150€?

The P310 is solid choice for that price range! I got similar one last year and works great in my laptop setup. Maybe check if you can find WD Black or Samsung 980 Pro on sale - sometimes they drop to around 140-150€ and give you bit better performance for future builds 🔥 Just make sure whatever you

which ssd should i choose

I'm using an Orico TB4 enclosure with a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB for over 3 years now and it is really fast and realiable comparing to Samsung T7 which I used previously, so I recommend it too. The enclosure+nvme combo was a reasonable investment before ssd prices went crazy.
