What is the Best Espresso Machine for daily use as of today 2026?
First of all you need a grinder. I recommend the eureka mignon line of grinders because there is one at every price point, albeit those price points start at about $350 and go to $1k-ish. But truly this is your must have purchase. The Specialita is what started their popularity because they are so q

Descaling the boiler [rancilio silvia h2]
This is the first time I’m doing a restore. Honestly i was hoping this would’ve gone a little easier but the machine is in a much rougher state I anticipated. Apparently the rancilio silvia is know for rust under the drip tray and I hit the jackpot. The metal was completely rotted trough so I had to

Any point of buying a Silvia if Profitec Go is priced almost the same?
Profitec GO is basically the updated Silvia Rancilio should have made years ago

No plastic espresso machine [$400]
No plastic is impossible. Way to good for some uses to skip on. I'd look for a used rancilio silvia. Built like tanks and easily servicable if something does break

Ti screen screw
Ah, naturally, coffee only reaches its most nuanced, existential depths when brewed on a Rancilio Silvia with the reassuring presence of a titanium screen screw. Without it, you're not crafting espresso, you're just playing at it. /s

There goes my backpay...
If you're gonna spend that much money, get a decent machine like the Rancilio Silvia. The thing is totally consumer friendly, you can take it apart, repair it, replace parts, etc. And it's almost totally mechanical, it keeps on going and never breaks down.

Is a decent machine worth it if you don't buy expensive beans?
I can buy specialty beans almost for the price of supermarket organic blabla beans. So I guess you have to find a better supplier. Also your grinder does the most important part. So I would go (went) for a Rancilio Silvia and then the most expensive grinder your budget allows. Eureka Mignon Libra to

What's your ALL TIME Best Coffee Maker?
For filter coffee: Moccamaster are for life. Parents have theirs for over 20 years. They had to replace the caraffe 2 times. One caraffe fell and the other had a broken hinge, because they are clumsy and my father manhandles everything. He kept bending it in the most stupid way possible to remove th

anyone else lowkey terrified of PFAS in their espresso machine?
Depends on if your machine has hot water running through plastic before it reaches your cup. This is why I appreciate my Rancilio Silvia; all brass internals once it exits the water tank.

Need Help Choosing Coffee Machine☕️☕️
Have a Rancilio Silvia/Rocky grinder 4 shots a day. In 12 years 1 group head seal and 1 pump for the coffee machine, nothing for the Rocky. Replaced pump/seal myself pretty straight forward. Pump was $65. Think I descaled it about 3 times, back flush fortnightly. Can make cafe quality coffee. Bit of
