Full Frame as a hobbyist?

I did because I'm ridiculous and wanted to treat myself. It's been so much more work than a beginner dslr to figure out and program a "one size fits most" mode, and only I can see the difference in the photos locally since they always get compressed online, even in dedicated cloud storage, but whate

Struggling to love Lumix photos after Fuji — anyone else?

I didn't use Fuji before but also just didn't like the colors out of my new S5II at all, even when editing my raws, compared to my old Canon. Then I found this guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lumix/comments/1p1rm30/i_mathematically_hacked_panasonic_vlog_to/ and now I pretty much shoot exclusively jpgs wit

New Lumix TZ-300 leaked

Panasonic literally said after last years’ S1s that the no other flagship camera is coming in at least 2 years so the only informations about S1HII are from people who just wishes it to be truth lol Why would you be disappointed? What do you think new S1s are lacking? Heck, even S5II? Its 2026, almo

Lumix s5m2 high res mode vs canon r5m2 45mp

Dynamic range and noise is better on the LUMIX S5ii. The Canon R5ii is three times the price though… 🫣

Which full-frame should I buy? Nikon Z6 III, Panasonic Lumix DC-S5IIX, Canon EOS R6 Mark II, and Sony Alpha 7 IV.I often shoot portraits (fast AF, great bokeh), travel (compact, versatile lenses), and groups (good sharpness, dynamic range).

Well it's good you mentioned affordable lenses because that cuts out Canon. The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is a great fast lens that's well priced and light. Should help keep the price down from getting zooms and primes. They're for Sony or Nikon. Lumix have the kit lens 20-60mm and the new 24-60mm F2.8

I finally did it. Now someone teach me what I’m doing lol S5IIX

Welcome, the S5-IIx is definitely a good choice for starting into photo and video with a real camera. This is a huge field. I think it's best to look thru a number of YouTube channels that are doing tutorials or show how they work with the cameras. There are lot's of channels and they have very diff

Considering Switching to Lumix from Fujifilm

Fujifilm has more fun factor for sure. I really like the user experience. I traded an x-s20 for an S5II. I have also owned an X-H1 and X-T30 II. I do miss the smaller size and more affordable lenses, but I didn’t really care for the film simulations and if you mainly develop raw files, I will say th

Over-processed image of the S5iix / S1ii ?

By all accounts you can get a more organic image by shooting Pro-Res and Raw formats, but these come with huge file sizes. H264 and H265 file sizes are so much more reasonable for so many workflows - and I have also noticed the difference going from an S1 / S1H to an S5II. Up-voting this because its

Will Lumix and Leica ever make a rangefinder camera?

Both companies have put MFT on life support. I don’t want to say it’s impossible, but I do think it’s basically impossible. I expect Panasonic will only make large professional cameras, on MFT or FF, using the G9II/S5II body shape. They are clearly committing to that body for consistency in professi
