My first cine lens
I think 7Artisans makes fantastic low budget Cine lenses. I shoot on an S5iiX, and I currently own only one 7Artisans: the 14mm Spectrum Cine for L-Mount. It's a full frame lens (I believe the Vision series is APS-C, yes?). Regardless, they have a fantastic build quality. The focus throw is 270 degr

Q: What’s the single best thing AND the single worst thing about the LUMIX S9? Let’s get a discussion going…
There are many different types of wedding photographers. Documentary photographers are very popular in the UK these days and are often very discreet and won't interfere with the day at all. I carry a Domke F5xb bag (tiny!) and two S5IIs with a 35 and 85 prime. I'd say 70-80% of shots are completely

Struggling to Choose Between the FX3 and the C50 — Need Some Advice
If you can wait you may want to wait until the FX3 ii is released. I think switching to Sony would be the better idea due to lenses and IBIS. Also I like to point out that the A7Siii is half the price used of an FX3 although I do like the fan, shutter angle, and other few extra features the FX3 prov

Sony seems to be like apple.
I've been waiting a long time for this subreddit because the problem is clear: Sony is playing the same game as Apple today. Incremental updates, marginal differences between models, and a clear strategy of monetizing the brand rather than its actual value. The A7V, in fact, doesn't address any of t

Multiple Lumix Purchases from Official Panasonic Store (Germany) – Repeated QC Issues
I have the 70-200 S Pro and the 24-70 S Pro. Lumix S5ii owned for 5 years Lumix S1ii just received. I have had zero issues with any of my equipment. I personally love Panasonic and everything the provide. I shoot weddings, business marketing content and more.

Sold the Lumix S1R II for the S5 II - verdict 6 months later
My understanding, and it could be incorrect as Panasonic is so secretive about these details, is that the thermal sensor of the image sensor was too sensitive and proactively ended recording well before any concern to the sensor. Panasonic LUMIX had to experiment with determining what that correct l

Which cameras would you never buy again and why?
I really was disappointed by the s5. It’s a great camera but it needed more time in the oven. The s5ii fixed all its problems but the s5ii really should have been the camera that launched and not the s5. I abandoned L-mount/Panasonic for a Canon c70, but I use the s5iix at work and it’s absolutely o

Choosing between the S1RII or A7RV/IV for editorial photography.
The a7rV will be the better camera in my opinion. It’s one of Sonys absolute best. And in my opinion for editorial, your camera should be 100% there every time. I think the Sony is that, while Panasonics are extremely nice, they are playing catch up. And I also don’t feel like the big bodies of ever

Planning on buying a camera instead of using my iPhone. Should I try and pursue that?
I made the switch last year. Bought a Lumix S5II with a 50mm sigma lens and never looked back. Starting to do some paid work (live events) here and there now! For starting, a good DSLR is perfect. Mirrorless ia great but much more expensive and not essential.

Information regarding S5ii laptops that experienced shutter problems.
Not familiar with an S5II Laptop, but I did have an S5II camera. Was and is super solid. As for the repair, if the service center was "Panasonic", I'd trust that repair. That said, I'd never had an issue with my shutter button, nor on an older S5 I still have as well.
