Well it's good you mentioned affordable lenses because that cuts out Canon. The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is a great fast lens that's well priced and light. Should help keep the price down from getting zooms and primes. They're for Sony or Nikon. Lumix have the kit lens 20-60mm and the new 24-60mm F2.8

I use my camera almost exclusively for family life. 10 bit video, reliable human tracking and good stabilization are the main things to look for in a hybrid dad cam. Got this in a few days ago after using an S5II for a year now. I got it to replace my B-cam, which is a S5. I've gotten addicted to using LUTs and the Lumix Lab app so the S5 wasn't quite cutting it in terms of ease of use as I had to use the old Sync app to bring stuff over and manually apply LUTs.

The “wide zone +tap to track which actually works and doesnt loose subject” mode on sony is ideal for run&gun/ events and panasonic just makes you concentrate on checking if the focus didnt drifted off instead
