Having to add an extra plate for the capture clip in their own ecosystem is a miss to me. Also arguably 2 of the Nikons that could benefit the most, the ZR and Zf (both cameras I own and might have been interested in this for) aren't even compatible.

I've used canon, red, and arri. I think it depends on what your shooting and how. Run and gun? Canon c70 or c80 or Nikon zr (red sensor). Big production with crew. Used arri or red. If the ZR is working great for your needs, then you should continue to shoot with it. The ZR is great in many ways and the image is punching away above it's weight. However, the ZR is not better than the FX5. One could argue it's better value... but outright better? I don't think so. I own the ZR. L
