Do we do IPhone Rigs on this sub?
I’ve done some research and the gap is closing until you can spend 2k on something solid used or even a Nikon ZR. If you already get the newest iPhone or the year before and pay monthly for it, not a terrible thought process. This person probably spent $500 bucks tops, for something to hold up to an

Thoughts on the fx5? Are you guys gonna get one?
It’s all quality of life improvements at the end of the day. I would assume all of us here are trying to tell a good story. You can tell an amazing story with a camera that came out five or even 10 years ago. The FX5’s image doesn’t automatically tell a better story. The RAW recording doesn’t automa

My first week with the Nikon Z6III
Quick note since many of your points are video recording specific: Likely in a bid to split the capabilities of cameras, Nikon also made the ZR, which is basically a Z6iii with no viewfinder and some shaving off of camera features in exchange for loads of video specific features, including 3D LUT. Impact of rumoured Canon R6iii for us Lumix Users
Still no slow motion open gate and still no third party lenses—plus no LUMIX stabilization. Internal false color and LUMIX Lab/Real Time LUT are also very very important features for me. Canon has definitely piqued my interest, but they’re still a few years behind LUMIX. Same with Nikon ZR.

Why the Pocket 4K needs a V2
For what it’s worth I’m a full time videographer (not cinematographer) working closely with brands such as Amazon, Uber, Honda, Tourism Australia etc. My daily is the pocket 4K, original, with the ultra speed booster for a full frame circle and I have to say the new Nikon ZR, canon R5II etc are clos

Planning my next camera for 2026, what should I be looking at?
Last 3-4 years minimum is crazy, I just took a 10 year old Nikon D810 to Antartica and it was perfect and I made some beautiful prints more than two feet wide. Z8 is my pick for a new camera, I can’t wait until it arrives! Z8, ZR, Z6iii are all awesome hybrid cameras, in descending budget. ZR being

It's a good time to be in the Lumix ecosystem.
Agreed. I would like to see Lumix put the S1II insides into a FX3/C50 body, add an OLPF, NR settings, RAW with different compression ratios and price it below $4000. IMO it would be perfect. I also feel they should do it ASAP, because Nikon can disrupt that category if they release a higher end vers

Z6iii vs z8 for stills and video?
The Z8 has more pixels and faster e-shutter for stills. It uses Nikon's pro-style bank system. It also is better at maximum dynamic range (for landscapes, for example). The Z6iii/ZR have fewer pixels and faster e-shutter for video. It uses Nikon's prosumer-style user preset system (similar to your Z

Upgrade?
I haven't worked with both, but I have extensive experience with the 6K. If I was ever looking to buy another camera, there are only three questions: what form factor do I want, does it have more dynamic range, and how well does it cut with Black Magic colour. The only reason I'd buy a camera with s

FX5?
Sony doesn’t care that the other cameras are cheaper. Way more people are already invested into the Sony ecosystem with the fx3 and they aren’t worried to lose market share to the Nikon users because the ZR has everything we want but nothing we need
