ZR

It’s a video camera. Sony was basically alone with the FX series and Nikon and Canon juste released their own. The ZR doesn’t have strong features for photography (might explain the price compared to a Z6), but I’m mostly surprised because it’s a lot cheaper than the FX3.

All of these are valid concerns and ones I agree with, but Nikon specifically released this camera at $2200 to start to take this corner of the market, so you’re just not going to get everything right off the bat. This is an absurd price point for a camera of this quality, so compromises will inevit

Look up Gerald Undones video on the ZR. If you actually work with the camera the FX3/S3 is still a much better option for your workflow and ofcourse lens availability. Having internal RAW is nice but the filesizes are definitely not. ZR had some issues as well with the image quality of smaller files

I have owned all 3 of the these cameras and only have the 12k still. The Nikon zr has a beautiful image but the dynamic range is by far it's weakest feature. It is not like the 12k at all. Out of all of my Nikons.. I am really loving the Zr for photography. Down vote me if you will. But I am really loving it.

So you think Nikon somehow made the sensor less sharp by putting it in a different housing? Gonna chalk this up to user error. There’s no sharpness issues on the Z6iii or ZR or the 14-24mm.
