I moved from Z50 II to Z5 II. I value IBIS more. My other cameras have IBIS and I couldn't go back to a body without IBIS. As for the size, with 40mm, 28mm and 75mm primes the Z5 II isn't that big of a camera. AF performance is a wash between two. Lens selection for Z DX is pretty small and no prime

A Canon R5 or R6 is significantly smaller and lighter while keeping most of the DSLR feel and ergonomics. RF has some good small primes like the 16/28/50mm. The other option is Sony's A7C series if you want the smallest camera possible, or the A7 series which is closer to a DSLR. There are plenty of

TL;DR: If you’re coming from a Canon T7 and want pro-level autofocus without the $2,500+ price tag of a Z6 III or A7 IV, the Nikon Z5 II is the move. 1.Better "Brains" than Sony (The AF Argument) While Sony has historically led the AF game, the Z5 II inherited the EXPEED 7 processor from the flagshi

The Nikon Z5 II is currently the best value full-frame mirrorless camera, with no significant compromises. Definitely consider that. Plenty of good Z mount lenses now.

It's really that good. I don't own it, but I do own a Z6 III and a Zf and I've been following the Z5 II. Nikon took the tech in the Zf and stuck it in a modern body with a few tweaks here and there (like dual SD card slots rather than SD + mSD). But same sensor, same processor, same autofocus, same

I look at it like a Nikkormat of years past. A solid camera that opens up a world of great glass. Size wise it’s the smallest of the full frame bodies. Burst rate just got a big increase this version. Double Sd Card slots which is handy. While the Z8 and Z6III are wonderful do you need all of the hi

Will XT5 to Z5ii be a downgrade especially on the megapixels and image quality? Should i go with Z6iii ? No it won't. Photos won't be as large, that's the only change, megapixels. Megapixels don't directly speak to quality. If you crop tons on your current camera you might miss it. Difference betwee

Nikon Z50 II is lightweight & compact and so are the kit lenses. Unfortunately, there are very few professional and semi-professional grade lenses. What's more, the body relies on the built-in touch display for a number of interactions, which can quickly become an issue. Especially if it's below 0 C

Nice. I have a Z5 II and it's great, it's more camera than I will ever truly need, fantastic value, and I do like the slightly nicer full-frame look, although I am sure I would be very happy with a Z50 II, and I must admit sometimes the size and especially weight of the full-frame system can be a lo

Just ordered mine. To be honest, the value proposition of the Z5 II seems too good to be true as it is, even before considering tariffs. No other brand is providing a FF camera this full-fledged at this price currently in my opinion. Even if there is miraculously a sale somehow this year, I won’t re
