Is the Z6III right for me?

TL;DR: If you’re coming from a Canon T7 and want pro-level autofocus without the $2,500+ price tag of a Z6 III or A7 IV, the Nikon Z5 II is the move. 1.Better "Brains" than Sony (The AF Argument) While Sony has historically led the AF game, the Z5 II inherited the EXPEED 7 processor from the flagshi

Looking left to Full frame & Looking right to M43 for wildlife

I have both, although the OM1 is mk I. Not for wildlife but anything else. Bought the Z5 II for indoor shoots with bad light. Use the OM1 almost exclusively. It is faster, feels better, ergonomics are better, more buttons. Don’t mention smaller lenses. And I am saying this as an old Nikon user (FM,

Whats your favorite lens?

Just got the Nikon 105mm 2.8 AF-D delivered today. It's been like 3 hours and I'm in love. Obviously, I don't know what kind of film results I'll get for a week or two, but adapted to my Z5ii, it is a joy to shoot.

Anyone else find the joystick on the Z8 just not very good?

Same on the z5-ii. It's... pretty shit? doesn't respond until it does, and then it immediately moves you across the entire screen. Thanks Nikon. No idea why we can't just use the ring, worked for the d7xxx, never failed me.

Which 45mp body?

The FTZ + Z system breathes some new life into F mount lenses, in my opinion at least. Particularly lenses like the Sigma ART series which have an AF motor but were famously (I should know I run them on a D810) finicky on DSLRs. So, I wouldn't necessarily DQ z mount just because you have to use an a

What Z lenses should I get?

I agree with the other commenter that the 24-120 f4 is the best all-around lens. Of these, I'd avoid the Nikon 24-70 and def not the 24-200 it's not a great lens. The G2 Tamron lenses are beasts, you'd be far better served with the 28-75 2.8 IMO. It would handle street and portraits like a pro. The

Back to a DSLR after 15 years and couldn't be happier already.

I’ve owned that one camera since 2015 and still love it. I started buying refurbished lightweight primes from Nikon last year so I could stop carrying the heavy zooms and am very happy carrying less. I bought my son a Z6 III. He let me borrow it for a few days and it just didn’t inspire. I have also

Finally bought a Z5 II

Didn’t fit my needs anymore. Originally bought it as a full-frame replacement for my X-T bodies. Nikon’s implementation of the dials wasn’t as good and they nerfed functional buttons, but I figured I could live with it since it was just a walk-around camera for me. I’ve been using a friend’s z5 II p

I love my D3 but I feel like I'm part of a minority

I used to do paid gigs with Nikon DSLR from 750, 810, 850, D3, D4 but recently made the switch to Z5ii because let's face it, the new technology is very convenient and S lenses are much better. However, I still miss my old DSLR and if I had money, I would probably get a 850 and D5 for collecting pur

I no longer miss my Fuji (jpgs)

These are gorgeous! Having also switched to Nikon Z last year after shooting Fuji for 7 years, I have been super impressed with Nikon’s colors both SOOC and editing RAW to the point where not only do I not miss my Fuji, but I don’t think I could even go back. Nikon is just incredible. While I’ve fou
