Selling my Fuji X100VI for a Nikon Zf

I own both and use both as my only digi cams. the ZF is a lot bigger then the x100vi, add in a 24-120 and the difference is huge. They're just different cameras, the x100vi comes with me everywhere, is fun, comes to parties etc, I don't edit the photos off it. The Nikon ZF is huge, but comes with me

Adapting Lenses

I have loads of old lenses for my film cameras. I have adapted them to my Fuji a few times. Tbh though, I ended up buying a Nikon Zf for this purpose. It's super annoying not getting the full field of view on these classic lenses without using speed boosters etc. Full frame is much better for this.

D850's resolution Vs lenses

Q1: If you're just looking at lens resolution, this should be a fairly objective question you can look up. Q2: The D600, D610, D750, Z5 all use the Sony IMX128 sensor The D780, Z6, Z6ii, Z5ii, ZF all use the Sony IMX410 sensor The IMX128 is a slower, single-gain sensor, where the maximum DR (at full

Thinking of Switching FROM Fuji to Nikon

I use both systems extensively. I switch between xt5, z8, xt20, xt 30, etc. If you're not a jpeg soc shooter, it's a significant improvement using Nikon. Full frame files from my z8 beat my xt5 images, despite the small difference in megapixels. I'm not sure what raw editor you use, but Lightroom ne

Using AF-S lenses with Nikon ZF

Entry level DX lenses are not worth the price of the FTZ to adapt to full frame Z bodies. You'll be left with only 10MP on the Zf, technically an upgrade over your D40x but very wasteful. You could've got the Nikon 40 f/2 or multiple other Chinese Z mount lenses for that price. You're mis-allocating

Nikon Z 50mm f/1.8 S or Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R ?

If size and weigh is a concern why don’t you make one of your two systems compact? Nikon ZF + 50mm 1.8 Fuji X-E3 23mm f2 or similar compact Fuji instead of the larger X-H1 Just a thought.

is the original Z6 still relevant to get a feel of the Z system?

Yes, of course it's relevant. It didn't break when the newer models came out. IQ isn't and issue and hasn't been for around 15 years. Pretty much every full-frame camera from every brand has had pretty much the same IQ during this time--the Canon 5D mark iii was probably the last camera with previou

Would you stick with MFTeven if you got enough money to get a high end FF kit?

It’s the lens selection that has kept me away from Nikons zf. They have 2 smaller sized lenses. And the rest are all like big bricks. I had full frame before. And it was just too heavy. Full frame made more sense with the simpler lens designs. These days lenses have a lot more glass in them. I tried

OM-5 mki or OM-3 for a “Dad cam”?

Another Dad here with young kids: I have an OM5i and the Panasonic 12-35 2.8 is on the camera 80% of the time. I use the 25mm 1.7 for indoor birthdays etc but I’d much rather something wider and brighter like Panasonic 15mm 1.7 or Oly 20mm 1.4. I think a nice bright lens beats the autofocus improvem

OM-3 and Nikon ZF

Own the om3 have used the zf and use other Nikon full frame regularly. I own much more capable bodies from all brands and the om3 gets used a lot. I would pretty strongly recommend the om3. Specific to the picture profiles. The om3 creative dial is favourite feature and I use it consistently. Once y
