UM890 Pro

I just picked up the UM890 Pro from Minisforum and it's perfect, it has true HDMI 2.1 and streams 4K @ 144hz with HDR enabled. I'm streaming from my 7800X3D + 4090 desktop, ethernet to ethernet and it honestly feels as close to native as I think you can get. Some of my Moonlight stats: Video stream:

Depends on the type of games he wants to play. Mini PC's are not generally going to play new modern games well. They are ok for some older games and non graphics intensive games. Perfectly happy with my UM890 Pro + DEG1/3080 ti as a sofa gaming/daily browser rig. Been running them 24/7 for 1.5 years now, only rebooted for windows updates etc. Seen people complain about various things about it in this sub, and guess happy owners doesn't write much about it. I'd buy one again

I have a minisforum UM890 pro with an external gpu RTX 3080 (my old graphic card before I move to mini pc). Connected on dock DEG1 via oculink. It works well for IA if you don't use too much large model (around 13b q4). I don't play with it but the perf should be enough to max out graphics at 1440p.
