See you later - U890 Pro died after 6 months

Just to mention something as a happy Minisforum owner (since most without problems doesn't write about it). My UM890 Pro on 1.02 bios + DEG1/3080 ti has been running 24/7 without a problem for 1.5 years now. Only rebooted after windows updates etc. It even survived a power outage a few days ago. We'

Any mini PCs that support a full GPU (RTX 4060) via PCIe / OCuLink?

I have a minisforum UM890 pro with an external gpu RTX 3080 (my old graphic card before I move to mini pc). Connected on dock DEG1 via oculink. It works well for IA if you don't use too much large model (around 13b q4). I don't play with it but the perf should be enough to max out graphics at 1440p.

NAD9 won't boot

Ah you got 64GB, I now have 32GB Corsair DDR5 5600mhz CL20 i think. Well that’s good your back up but you have warranty on the RAM I assume or is it what came with the NAD9? I think i9-12900H can support higher than 3200 DDR4 in other PCs but not sure. If you need 64GB, if it’s 100% module or bay co

Best mini PC for current gen games?

Take a look at the Minisforum UM890 Pro. It has a Radeon 780M and is equipped with an Oculink port with which you can connect, if necessary, an external video card equipped with a GPU (even an Nvidia GPU from the 4000 or 5000 series).

ONEXGPU 2 is here.

Depends on what device you own. If it is an AMD Z1/Z2 based chip then it is better to go Nvidia to avoid driver issues, if you have a device that uses Intel Core ultra or AMD Non Z1/Z2 based chips then you can use anything. The reason is that AMD blocked the sideload process for their own drivers so

Mini-PC Recommendation - Minisforum UM890 pro vs alternatives

Even though all the above negativities about Minisforum is true, I must say I'm very happy with my UM890 Pro/Deg1. Been running them 24/7 for over a year now with no problems at all, besides the poor bluetooth signal. Sitting 2,5m away from it and had a lot of issues with my bluetooth mouse. Could h

SBC suitable for everything-over-USB-C?

The Minisforum UM890 Pro can do it. Everything over USB4, although you do need a dock that can deliver at least 100W, otherwise it won't turn on. They may have a few other models with similar capabilities, have a look.

AMD with dual Ethernet port?

Have you looked at Minisforum and GMKtec? I have those along with Beelink and they are equally as good and have dual ethernet ports. I like the GMKtec K8 Plus and the Minisforum UM890 Pro.
