Is $699 a fair price for this miniPC? Based on the Specs (i3-N300, 16GB LPDDR4, 4x NVMe Bays, 2.5GbE Port)

$699 i3-300 🤣 You can do much, much better in the $700 range. Look at just about anything in the GMKTec K line, for starters. Picking one at basically random, the NUCBox K12 Ryzen 7 H 255 with 32GB RAM/1TB SSD, Oculink and dual 2.5Gb NIC is currently $649. That will absolutely smoke an i3-300 perfor

i have something similar, just on a slightly more expensive platform: this is a GMKtec K12 (atm on Aliexpress for 267€ as barebone minus voucher). i added 64GB ram, which i got for about 270 euros, 1 1TB nvme ssd i had laying around plus the same 6 port sata card the OP uses. that one is connected t

Best Gaming Mini-PC for $500-$600?

I think the GMKtec K12 is probs good value at $500 (Ryzen 7 8745HS CPU, Radeon 780M iGPU - 32gb RAM, 500GB SSD) vs competitors who have soldered ram and less expandability. The K12 has three SSD slots and you can replace the RAM. Plus it has an OCulink port so you can plug a dedicated GPU to max gam

What's your 'I can't believe I self-hosted that' service?

Honestly it's working good, a bit rough around the edges. I built it because I really don't like Android. The lack of control, software support abandonment, etc, have driven me to work towards eradicating Android from all my devices. So atm we have these Mini PCs, they were £160 no RAM no SSD. Beast

Beelink S13 which sustained CPU temp okay?

any temperture is ok. modern computers are designed to slow down the processor if it becomes to hot and if it gets too extreme even after that it will simply turn off the motherboard. 75 degrees celsius is perfectly fine. mine occasionally run at up to 95 degrees, which is still within their designe

Gmktec K12

Things have changed last decade, mini pcs performances are close to desktop pc, with the bonus mini pcs use a fraction of the energy of a desktop pc. My k12 is left switched on 24/7 it goes to sleep when not in use in windows11, no need to worry about energy prices anyhow. Check hot uk deals for gmk

Love the GMKtec K12!

I considered the K12 but after trying the SER9 settled on the 8845HS K8 Plus. Would love to see GMKtec with a Ryzen 7 260 or 9 270 K series version of the K12.

Questions about buying GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra from the official AliExpress store

These are a newer design with better cooling and more features. The M6 Ultra is a refresh of the older 6600H M6 that GMKtec only upgraded to the 7640HS processor. The K8 Plus and K11 have actual AMD supported processors where the K12 has a defective one for the Chinese market. I wasn't very impresse

GMKtech K12 - some info that might be helpful

The least you could have done is benchmarking your NVME M2 SSD, things like "i don t trust this , i don t feel like" are not Tech argument. Same goes with the RAM, you could have benchmark its performances and then draw some conclusion.btw TSMC is the best processor manufacturer period, i didn t kno

First 24/7 mini PC for Docker homelab - what would you buy?

Im running a GMKtec K12 for about a month now. I got it as a barebone and installed cheap used 32GB crucial ram and a 512GB china AirDisk + 1tb external ssd In jellyfin it transcodes at about 230fps for a single 1080p stream, but most of my webdl files dont require video transcoding. I got a more po
