Are they vibe-coding now? RAM usage out of control!! (Illustrator, Photoshop, Mac)
Yes I’ve got a Geekom A9 max HX 370 /890m with 64gb ram. Photoshop uses up to 20 gbs sometimes. I’m assuming it does that to make the app snappier but when drawing it’s just not as smooth as it should be. 🤔

any mini PC recommendations for a casual gamer?
I bought a GEEKOM A9 Max for myself to game on. My previous mini is good, still is, but my games like Sims and Fortnite were not doing so well anymore on it with the recent updates. My friend said GEEKOM was one of the top recommended PCs on his most trusted PC website for all things computer. This

Need a reliable mini PC . Should I ditch Windows and go Mac Mini?
I have both: The M4 Mac mini and the Geekom A9 Mac. I may just be lucky but the A9 Max has been fine. I’ve only had it since last December but it has been reliable so far. The m4 mini has been fine as well but the A9 Max gets more use. I do use both occasionally to connect to work machines. I prefer

End of low cost Mini PC (Non Mac)
Yeah, it's been great though for repurposing older M1 hardware and if you want a break from the ecosystem, it's an option. I have an older Beelink SER5 that I put cachyos on after getting a newer Windows 11 minipc and it's been pretty good. Good enough that I may soon install it over the Windows 11

Geekom A9 Mega - Fresh unbox, fully updated at start (Win11 25H2) - super laggy?
Update from my original post. I did a full reinstall directly to 25H2, latest firmware, drivers, all fully updated, upgraded, no difference. So after almost 2 weeks, i tried all tweaks on Windows registries (MPO, Ultra Performance profile, File Explorer optimization, ...) I used Windows O&O ShutUp 1

Geekom A9 Mega - Fresh unbox, fully updated at start (Win11 25H2) - super laggy?
An update about my situation: I sent back the A9 MEGA to Geekom as requested and Geekom gave me a full refund for my A9 MEGA.. I wasted 3 months trying to make it works properly witth all the possible Windows 11 optimization. It was still very laggy. I lost my 6 years of data (more than 800GB of dat

Geekom A9 Mega - Fresh unbox, fully updated at start (Win11 25H2) - super laggy?
I continue my long and horrible journey with my worst system setup for decades. As it's horrible to work this laggy condition, I download the official image tool from geekom website. I follow the documentation, download the official image tool, they mentioned on an USB key 16GB... Well the zip file
