First mini pc for gaming and daily use, best options under $2000?
$2000 gets you a genuinely great minipc... The GEEKOM A9 Max 2026. Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 with 32GB RAM and a 2TB SSD

Check the RAM if buying any mini lately.
This is a problem with Geekom since the first of the year. I know more than one person who was surprised to drop like $1400 on a A9 Max HX 370 only to find a single 32GB stick. He purchased it with the intent of upgradable RAM but wasn't expecting an immediate upgrade. Adding the missing/matching st

Best Mini PC under $1,500 for a DevOps Engineer? Looking for long-term recommendations.
You will need to do your due diligence on 32GB builds. Some like the Geekom A9 Max begin shipping with 1x 32GB stick. Single channel mode can easily reduce processing and graphics performance by up to 40%. Purchasing the missing/matching stick can easily break a $1500 USD budget. The Mac Mini M4 Pro

Complimentary case arrived with no mini PC
The only complaints I found with the Geekom A9 Max were disappointments that the 2nd M.2 slot was for a smaller 2230 NVMe SSD and that it arrived with a single 32GB stick of RAM. Single channel mode memory reduces processing and graphics for performance by up to 40% and buying the missing/matching s

Should I get the Beelink SER5 MAX?
As a heads up I've had a few friends with returned Geekom minis like the A8 after finding disappointing performance. Turns out that RAMpocalypse/RAMageddon has them shipping a single stick of RAM with single channel mode reducing processing and graphics performance by up to 40%. One gentleman was ev

Geekom A9 Max Mini-PC im Test: Der neue Ryzen-AI-Chip bleibt hinter seinen Möglichkeiten
Thanks for the post! 32GB single channel memory with Gorgon Point Ryzen AI 400 series/Strix Point "refresh" at $1800 USD without a competitive 64GB dual channel auction seems counterproductive at this point. A matching stick of Crucial 32GB 5600 is currently pushing 400 bucks from reputable sources.

Geekom A9 Max HX 470 as my work PC that also plays Cyberpunk on weekends
There's not a big advantage here what the exception of the XDNA NPU between this and my GMKtec K8 Plus. Mine shipped with a single 32GB stick, not 2x16GB. Free slot for a cheap upgrade later, but out of the box you're running single channel. Single channel memory can easily kill processing and graph

Geekom Computers PS3 émulation trough batocera
The key is getting 32GB of dual channel RAM while avoiding the crippled Chinese processors. The HX 370/470 has been found to have poor multi-core performance while the slower 5600MHz SODIMM hurts graphics performance. The A9 Max may possibly be worthwhile for some AI models when running a 64GB/96GB/

Haven't played since 1.1, the game in it's new state is great!
I play on a Geekom A9 max. (No GPU, it’s an 890M integrated chip) with 32gb ram and do 1080p with TSR balanced setting low and medium getting consistent and comfortable performance finally.

IT15 vs A9 Max
If your focus is video and graphic editing, plus 3D work, the GEEKOM A9 Max is the better pick. It supports up to 128GB RAM, has a powerful Ryzen AI 9 HX370.
