Check the RAM if buying any mini lately.
This is a problem with Geekom since the first of the year. I know more than one person who was surprised to drop like $1400 on a A9 Max HX 370 only to find a single 32GB stick. He purchased it with the intent of upgradable RAM but wasn't expecting an immediate upgrade. Adding the missing/matching st

Are they vibe-coding now? RAM usage out of control!! (Illustrator, Photoshop, Mac)
Yes I’ve got a Geekom A9 max HX 370 /890m with 64gb ram. Photoshop uses up to 20 gbs sometimes. I’m assuming it does that to make the app snappier but when drawing it’s just not as smooth as it should be. 🤔

Good pc for llm or mini pc?
If you’re short on space you could just grab a Mini PC. Something like the GEEKOM A9 Mega with that AI Max+ 395 is a beast if you actually need some real power.

Need a reliable mini PC . Should I ditch Windows and go Mac Mini?
I have both: The M4 Mac mini and the Geekom A9 Mac. I may just be lucky but the A9 Max has been fine. I’ve only had it since last December but it has been reliable so far. The m4 mini has been fine as well but the A9 Max gets more use. I do use both occasionally to connect to work machines. I prefer

Best Mini PC under $1,500 for a DevOps Engineer? Looking for long-term recommendations.
You will need to do your due diligence on 32GB builds. Some like the Geekom A9 Max begin shipping with 1x 32GB stick. Single channel mode can easily reduce processing and graphics performance by up to 40%. Purchasing the missing/matching stick can easily break a $1500 USD budget. The Mac Mini M4 Pro

Complimentary case arrived with no mini PC
The only complaints I found with the Geekom A9 Max were disappointments that the 2nd M.2 slot was for a smaller 2230 NVMe SSD and that it arrived with a single 32GB stick of RAM. Single channel mode memory reduces processing and graphics for performance by up to 40% and buying the missing/matching s
