I liked the Fitbit hardware. But the app continued to degrade. Basically swapped my Versa for a Vivosmart, doubt I will go back.

I've been having serious issues with Fitbit support. I'd stay away from them. I've heard good things about Amazfit, but haven't tried them myself. I'll likely switch back to Garmin. It seems they are likely to release an updated Vivosmart 6 sometime in the spring.

Realllly varies depending on price point... Im running a garmin fenix 7 pro solar mainly cause it has a good quality fda approved ecg... those are NOT economical. Ive never owned one but Samsung fit 3 looks like it would do an ok job for the 50-70 dollar price point. And in the sweet spot a Garmin V

Anything Garmin, but as a minimalist I’m really reaaally looking forward to the Cirqa. Otherwise I’ll advise the Garmin Vivosmart 5. My fenix 6x pro keeps wonderful time without a connection btw.
