No Charge 7(yet) I guess?

Vivosmart looks like you're stuck with their silicone strap as the face is rather surrounded into it though right? With my charge, I like to swap for narrow black leather straps to give a more elegant and standard watch look. It looked like there's compatible watch style straps like that for the lil

does anyone know of any similar devices to the visible band?

Depends on preference and use case. The Garmin watch I have (research study, mandatory, vivosmart 5) has a silicone band and a form factor that tends to get in the way of sleeves, etc. more than my Apple Watch. Another downside: my Garmin vivosmart 5 doesn’t have the capacity to do real-time HR thre

Where are some stores where I can go look at Garmin sport watches in the south suburbs?

REI Note that most Garmin sport watches come with multiple adjustable bands. I have a Lily 2 Active with after market metal bands. I had Vivosmart 5 and Vivosmart 4 where my skin was irritated by the silicone bands.

heliostrap (and armband) experiences after 6 months

I’ve had mine for literally just a few hours and was actually surprised at how many steps I already had counted - will keep monitoring. I gave up on a garmin Vivosmart 5 because of inaccurate sleep tracking, uncomfortable band, and it hardly ever auto tracking my walks. Steps overall seemed maybe ev

Preferred health tracking devices?

I have the Garmin vivosmart 5. Looked into fitbit, but didn't want a subscription. The visible band isn't available in my country. More expensive Garmin watches also show HRV and have downloadable pacing watch faces, but I wanted something lightweight which I'd actually wear day and night, and didn'

Need perspectives on wearables

honestly if you want something not bulky and more accurate for workouts i’d check out the garmin vivosmart or something similar, they’re not as hype as whoop or oura but solid and usually pretty reliable for strength training and daily tracking without making you feel like a robot lol

End of an era - Moving on

I had the Inspire before the Luxe too! I've loved them both, and the Luxe is the perfect size for me. The battery is starting to go on it but I plan on just wearing it until it dies, I suppose. The Vivosmart 5 seems really similar but it looks like it gets inserted into the band rather than hooked u

Thoughts on smart watches?

Shop for a fitness tracker, not a smart watch. There's a lot of overlap between the two in that space, but something like a Garmin Vivosmart or Fitbit Inspire is going to be cheaper, more comfortable, and offer few to no distractions. I used one for a while and it could get text messages (read only)

Fitness Tracker Recs for First Time?

Since you’re already an Apple user and want to avoid subscriptions, a Garmin Vivosmart 5 is a great slim option that nails those health metrics without a monthly fee, though the Apple Watch SE might be worth the extra cost for the seamless payment and connectivity features you’re looking for.

Best heart rate monitor for mountain biking that doesn’t fall down?

Garmin vivosmart 5 on the wrist. I’ve been happy with it, I mean how accurate do you really need as a non-pro - I think just consistency. Plus it’s light and connects to gym equipment like pelotons. A full on gps enabled watch might be cool too. I connect it to a wahoo elmnt bolt. I used to have a w
