Anyone returned to fitbit after moving to Garmin?

I liked the Fitbit hardware. But the app continued to degrade. Basically swapped my Versa for a Vivosmart, doubt I will go back.

Has MF ruined your ability to talk to non-MF users about calorie deficits?

i must say, i have a Garmin Vivosmart 5, which is about $100, and i have been consistently shocked with how close it nails my TDEE. usually within 100 calories of MF when i'm tracking super strictly.

Google - At what point have they broken their side of the bargain?

I think the commenter meant a fitness band closer to an Inspire / Charge, rather than a full sized watch in terms of form factor. Garmin’s equivalent is just the vivosmart 5, which IMO is inferior to the Inspire 3.

Those of you who switched to garmin, was it worth it? Particularly for strength training?

I switched to Garmin Vivosmart 5 after receiving 3 faulty fitbits in a year. I'm very happy with it, I does everything Fitbit did, and gives a lot more stats on workouts

Monitoring Tools

Vivosmart 5 is the current model. I have one too. No subscription required. Any Garmin watch with the body battery feature is pretty great

Garmin watch for HR

I am using a Vivosmart 5. Data is good enough for my purpose. Readability may be an issue on the ride.

Best tracker options for my needs

If you’re trying to get away from subscriptions, Garmin is probably one of the safest ecosystems. Something like the Garmin Vivosmart 5 or Garmin Venu 2 covers HR, sleep tracking, steps, and pulse ox without locking stuff behind a paywall. Samsung users also sometimes go with the Samsung Galaxy Watc

Best band

I've been having serious issues with Fitbit support. I'd stay away from them. I've heard good things about Amazfit, but haven't tried them myself. I'll likely switch back to Garmin. It seems they are likely to release an updated Vivosmart 6 sometime in the spring.

Whats everyone doing about this?

I picked up a Vivosmart 5 - the screen isn't coloured but the performance is rock-solid, unlike the ongoing connectivity issues with Fitbit.

Tracker gift for a nurse - what device?

If you want a tracker that actually works for a nurse, long battery life, easy to clean, and solid vitals tracking, skip rings and most gimmicky bands. I’m using panther eclipse and it’s been great, it feels premium, has real-world battery life that actually lasts, and doesn’t lock you behind a subs
