Visual proof of PEM
Yeah this is such an amazing tool. My vivosmart 5 broke and I replaced it with an Apple Watch thinking it could surely do the same but it can’t and I miss this feature so much. This post might just convince me to get a garmin again.

To those who have improved significantly, what helped the most?
Sure! I see it as a helpful addition to other pacing. It just helps you stay within your energy envelope by warning you when you're crossing the anaerobic threshold, because that's where our bodies struggle the most to produce energy. People who have had a 2 Day CPET know their threshold, but the re

Visual proof of PEM
I’m actually thinking of switching from Vivosmart 5 to Apple Watch and using the StressWatch app. Have you tried it? On the iPhone companion app I noticed if you try to get out of the subscription prompt it will offer a good discount. But overall it’s probably paying more and hoping for something al

Vivosmart 5 is the current model. I have one too. No subscription required. Any Garmin watch with the body battery feature is pretty great

Tracker gift for a nurse - what device?
If you want a tracker that actually works for a nurse, long battery life, easy to clean, and solid vitals tracking, skip rings and most gimmicky bands. I’m using panther eclipse and it’s been great, it feels premium, has real-world battery life that actually lasts, and doesn’t lock you behind a subs

How to not make ME/CFS worse?
Realllly varies depending on price point... Im running a garmin fenix 7 pro solar mainly cause it has a good quality fda approved ecg... those are NOT economical. Ive never owned one but Samsung fit 3 looks like it would do an ok job for the 50-70 dollar price point. And in the sweet spot a Garmin V

Which fitness tracker are you using ?
Many people use Fitbit Charge 6, Garmin Vivosmart 5, or WHOOP 4.0 for gym workouts and recovery. Fitbit is great for overall health tracking, Garmin offers detailed metrics like stress and energy levels, while WHOOP is popular for advanced recovery and HRV insights. It mostly depends on your budget

Basic Tracker
If you just want step counting without carrying your phone, go basic. I use panther eclipse it tracks steps, optional HR/sleep, lasts days, no subscription hassle. fitbit inspire or garmin vivosmart are simple options too.

Best tracker options for my needs
If you’re trying to get away from subscriptions, Garmin is probably one of the safest ecosystems. Something like the Garmin Vivosmart 5 or Garmin Venu 2 covers HR, sleep tracking, steps, and pulse ox without locking stuff behind a paywall. Samsung users also sometimes go with the Samsung Galaxy Watc
