Trying to use the pressurized filter, insanely fast to 36g.
Do not use the pressurized basket. It adds artificial resistance that should be coming from the coffee puck and not the basket. Use the regular double shot basket instead. The coffee grounds are probably too coarse, thats why its fast. Taste it anyway, though. Fast does not always mean it's bad. Oth

What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?
Just got a Gaggia Classic a few months ago, so still learning lots but I think I’m doing ok. I’ve been temp surfing with it and that’s made wonders for consistency, I want to get one of the PID mods for it soon tho lol.

Opinions on upgrades
I’ll answer some! Yes, gaggiuino/gaggimate has PID and pre infusion. I think pre-infusion is only in Gaggimate Pro. (I’ll just talk about gagimate, go that route since its more user friendly from what i read here, even the community is more friendly) I know it works on all types of GCP since 1991. Y
