I would update the SSD to a Gen5 NVMe, Samsung 9100 Pro, Crucial T710, or WD_Black. Take advantage of those Gen5 speeds.

For $2k, you can get a B60. For the CPU, I picked the 270K Plus. It is a great all-around new cpu, with lower new pricing from Intel. It stays cool with a 360mm AIO cooler. The motherboard has 5GbE, wifi7 and extra M.2 & DIMM slots for future upgrades. The build has 32GB of RAM and a super-fast 2TB

Thanks for the quick reply. CPU: As you can see here, the Ultra 9 285K is the fastest consumer CPU for most AI/ML tasks. CPU COOLER: The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 is an excellent AIO cooler. This can go in the top of the case as exhaust, blowing up. MOTHERBOARD: The Gigabyte Z890 AORUS ELITE

just plug the phone into the laptop with a lightning to usb c cable. And as for ssds, how fast are we talking? the crucial T710 and samsung 9100 pro are stupid fast (10000+mB/s) but do you need that? or do you just want something that's moderately fast like the samsung 980 pro?

Thanks for the reply. I used this MicroCenter bundle for the CPU, mb, and memory. This saves you a whopping $430 compared to buying the same three parts online. CPU: The 9800X3D is an excellent CPU for gaming. As you can see here, when paired with a 5090, it’s less than 1% slower than the top 9850X3

This is what an $8k budget will get you. I used this MicroCenter bundle for the CPU, mb, and memory. I also took advantage of their 64GB memory upgrade for an additional $400. Just for these three components, this saves you nearly $500, compared to buying the same parts individually online. I also c

T710. Smaller sequential performance but has a MUCH better sustained performance in which 9100 pro falls behind. Interpret it like this 9100 pro -> faster at filling 1/3 of the SSD by Crucial T710 -> MUCH better sustained performance which makes it faster in filling the whole SSD

You said that you live near a MicroCenter, but you also said that you’ve bought everything, except the CPU and the PSU. The primary benefit of shopping at a MicroCenter store is being able to take advantage of their CPU/mb/memory bundles. Is it possible to return your memory and mb? You’ll save quit

MONITOR: You didn’t state what your monitor’s resolution is and Samsung makes several Odyssey models, but not many with a 240Hz refresh rate. So, I’m going to assume you have that monster 49” model with a 5120x1440p resolution. That’s a total of 7.37 million pixels, which is much closer to a 4K moni
