Crucial T710 vs Samsung 9100 Pro @4TB

Crucial is part of micron the other big dram/nand producer. They offered gen5 drives way before Samsung did. The t705 and t710 are excellent drives, the later outperform the 9100pro in some tests and vice-versa, they are very comparable drives. As to which to get I would say at this level..the cheap

SSD or HDD for long and short-ish term?

60gb will take a while on a mechanical drive Eh really depends on the HDD. Outside this guy's budget but I'm using 4 x 18 TB ironwolf pros in my desktop. Largely for my Plex server but also archival photos etc, all mirrored (with the personal files also updated once a year on a separate 8TB I keep a

Good parts list?

Nice build. I'd get a the pcie 5.0 version of that SSD, the T710 for £60 more.

Is the WD Black SN850x the best m.2 ssd I can get for the price?

If it’s in a desktop PC built, take a gen 5 (Crucial T710) at the same price with a heat sink.

Scientific computing/programming home office build

I'm suggesting two options. They differ in CPU,GPU and RAM. For the CPU, I picked the 7900X It's a great, 12-core cpu. It stays cool with a great air cooler cooler. The motherboard has wifi and extra M.2 & DIMM slots for future upgrades. The build has 32GB of RAM and a super-fast 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD wi

Please help me build an 8k Video Editing / After Effects build for 4k after tax OR 6k Editing / AE build that I can easily upgrade to 8k in 3-4 years.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fRQykD Basically u/Mr_Henry_Yau's build with a few minor changes: Cooler - the 270K+ will run hot under heavy editing workloads, so I would highly recommend a liquid cooler like the reliable Arctic LF3. You could also use the Thermalright Frozen Edge from u/fuddyduddyc's

Will 38mm wide case fans fit in the MONTECH XR Wood?

As I have said previously if you have a use case for a Gen5 drive, then WD SN8100 or Crucial T710 would both be good choices. Just go with whichever one is better priced at the time. Before I comment further what will you be using this computer. Please be specific as possible.

Will these parts work well together?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2jZ6np First of all try getting the cheapest 5090 if possible. The FE 5090 is in rare occasions available on Bestbuy for 2k so have an eye on that every day to my knowledge. RAM wise I think you can get a cl30 for this price if you buy 2 pieces separately so buy it like

New Build Help

Sorry I took so long to get back with you. I’ve been out of town for a couple of days. I ended up not using any MicroCenter bundles. I really wanted to give you 64GB of memory and none of their current bundle offerings had more than 32GB. Just last week they offered a 64GB memory upgrade for their b
