Planespotting in RVSM airspace

Canon R5 Mark II with a 100-500mm f/4.5-5.6L lens. I always have that and at least 3 more lenses with me in my flight bag. It sucks to carry around but these types of photos is why I do it.

In your experience, what are the most reliable mirrorless cameras your photographers have used on set?

Generally speaking, R5 Mark II. There are quirks I don’t like about the canon ecosystem, but they have the best tethering experience, 3rd party support (outside of lenses), and market penetration in the commercial world. Apparently the C1 beta wireless tethering support is working too. What are your

Got the X2D II & 20-35E! Need Suggestions!!!

Fwiw the X2D is kind of a specialised tool, I think the fact that you’re forced to use the ginormous and expensive 35-100 just for AF-C is a symptom of that. Don’t get me wrong I also use a camera that’s far too big (GFX 100 with a 45-100), but over the years I’ve come to think that while the 100mp

Had an incredible encounter with a Great-horned Owl

Thank you! The body is a Canon R5m2 and lens is RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 (you can see image settings in the screenshot in my other comment). I shot on a Canon 80D + Sigma 150-600mm lens for a long time until I was able to afford the upgrade and I can definitely see & feel the difference!

Lumix s5m2 high res mode vs canon r5m2 45mp

"left canon, right Lumix" This is just mind blowing. To all who purchased the(I purchased S5iiX) S5ii or S5iiX, you are really smart. The feature of being able to do 96MP raw file is what closed it for me. Just use that tripod you purchased years ago, the raw files are insane in detail. I purchased

My photo of the Jerami Grant dunk!

I think the R3, at the time, was overpriced - now, it's "okay". My main body is actually the R5mk2! Which I think the R5 series is the best bang for buck, it's fast enough, it has a higher MP, and all needs like Pre-Capture. The lens is what Canon has over Sony, but honestly if I were to start from

Is Nikon Z the best camera series or am I missing something?

I don't see how Canon is better on absolutely any front For me: Ergonomics (this is huge—Nikon is pretty good here, but as much as I love Sony, their ergonomics don't work for me) Color science AF (R5II and others) Best support for my vast collection of amazing and unique EF glass, especially my EF

Why *can't* the BMPCC4k be used for photography?

It can certainly be used for CERTAIN TYPES of photography but it certainly won’t be as well rounded of a “photo” tool as a Canon R5 mark ii. I mean you could certainly do staged photos and certain product photos but it would be awful to use for street photography because it doesn’t shoot fast enough

Should I keep my Canon R5 as backup?

I have the R5M1. For me personally, there is nothing in the R5M2 that has me wanting to upgrade. It's a solid camera for sure, but so it the R5M1. Not sure what you mean by "future-proofing". What specifically are you wanting to plan for? Heck, I still have/use my Canon 5DM3. In the end, there photo
