Highly recommend the BenQ MA270U 27” 4K Monitor as it works with iPadOS volume controls. I have the Dell - S2725QC 27" IPS LED 4K UHD 120Hz FreeSync Monitor and adore it, especially for the sale price I got it at ($280) but my sole gripe is the Volume has to be controlled with the knob on the monito

The Dell is probably the best option for your use case, but in your position I’d look at either the BenQ MA270U, it’s designed specifically to color manage and be controlled by macOS similar to an Apple display, or the Asus ProArt 5K monitor (PA27JCV) which will provide a native 218 PPI for macOS. The Dell S2725QC is more than good enough for casual video editing and general media viewing. I bought 2 of them and the colors are great. The BenQ brags about their color calibration but that really only matters if you're using it for professional work. The Dell also made it onto RTINGS best of 202

I'm grabbing a 27"4k My selection so far: BenQ PD2706UBenQ MA270ULG 27UP850-WDell 27 Plus S2725QC I'm a designer as well so, like you, I need to care for colour accuracy and sharp details. None of 4ks will give it completely but adding the Better Display app reportedly solves the crispiness issue. A

1 has a wobbly stand from what I'm told2. Is not 4K, that's a dealbreaker3. Is the best choice out of all these I would also suggest Benq since they have built in Macmode, the MA270U is a top choice for many Mac Mini-owners, or the PD2706U which should be in the same price range as these

Thanks for your feedback! I’m currently eyeing the BenQ PD2739S (5K) but also tempted by the MA270U. The 5K ticket in this case is an extra 700 dollars compared to the cheaper brother. Of course you also get Thunderbolt, more ports and better contrast. Decisions, decisions 😅

The only thing missing is audio line out port (others provide 3.5mm port, dell has this) This is better alternate Benq MA270U.

Glad I found this. ‘Im on the hunt as well for my first oled monitor. Although I will use it as external monitor for my Macbook Pro 2021. While I want oled monitor for myself, I also witnessed from other FB groups the overwhelming positive review of BenQ MA270U especially for Mac users as this monit

Thanks for sharing that! I was also looking at benq displays (especially MA270U advertised as built for macs), but after I asked Claude to look for potential issues it returned with this: "The BenQ MA270U monitor—advertised as “built for Macs”—performs well in everyday use, but has significant limit
