Coming from a 5k iMac to a mini, I’ve been really pleased with my benq 4k MA270U

Highly recommend the BenQ MA270U 27” 4K Monitor as it works with iPadOS volume controls. I have the Dell - S2725QC 27" IPS LED 4K UHD 120Hz FreeSync Monitor and adore it, especially for the sale price I got it at ($280) but my sole gripe is the Volume has to be controlled with the knob on the monito

The issue with small text happens as resolution increases. For example, 1920x1080 at a 27" display, would provide some pretty large icons and large text. If you stayed at 27" and went to 2560x1440 running at native resolution you would get much smaller icons, smaller text and you would have lots of

The Dell is probably the best option for your use case, but in your position I’d look at either the BenQ MA270U, it’s designed specifically to color manage and be controlled by macOS similar to an Apple display, or the Asus ProArt 5K monitor (PA27JCV) which will provide a native 218 PPI for macOS. Like mentioned, it’s an added benefit. Apart from the panel itself (which is great), these small things do add up and leads to less clutter in general. Basically, come for the monitor and stay for the rest, if the rest appeals to ya. In a two monitor setup, I use a Studio Display in conjunction with

Check out the Benq ma270u. It’s very close to Studio Display at a much affordable price point.

BenQ just released a glossy version of their Mac monitor MA270U. I'm desperately to get my hands on it, but it seems like the perfect monitor for someone who uses Mac and wants a glossy display that is not Apple Studio. But be aware that it is not 5k or 6k, and refresh rate is 60 Hz. Still, I'm wait

BenQ-MA270U is one of the best reviewed. I would have bought this, but I got the LG 32U631A-B because I wanted a 32" and it's pretty good too.

Yes, the standard studio display has a glossy finish, the nano textured version has a matte finish, although I would say the matte finish on the apple studio is a semi-gloss compared to BenQ MA270U If you work in controlled lighting and prioritize maximum color pop and crispness go with the gloss mo

The Dell S2725QC is more than good enough for casual video editing and general media viewing. I bought 2 of them and the colors are great. The BenQ brags about their color calibration but that really only matters if you're using it for professional work. The Dell also made it onto RTINGS best of 202
