The issue with small text happens as resolution increases. For example, 1920x1080 at a 27" display, would provide some pretty large icons and large text. If you stayed at 27" and went to 2560x1440 running at native resolution you would get much smaller icons, smaller text and you would have lots of

The Dell is probably the best option for your use case, but in your position I’d look at either the BenQ MA270U, it’s designed specifically to color manage and be controlled by macOS similar to an Apple display, or the Asus ProArt 5K monitor (PA27JCV) which will provide a native 218 PPI for macOS. Like mentioned, it’s an added benefit. Apart from the panel itself (which is great), these small things do add up and leads to less clutter in general. Basically, come for the monitor and stay for the rest, if the rest appeals to ya. In a two monitor setup, I use a Studio Display in conjunction with

Yes, the standard studio display has a glossy finish, the nano textured version has a matte finish, although I would say the matte finish on the apple studio is a semi-gloss compared to BenQ MA270U If you work in controlled lighting and prioritize maximum color pop and crispness go with the gloss mo

The Dell S2725QC is more than good enough for casual video editing and general media viewing. I bought 2 of them and the colors are great. The BenQ brags about their color calibration but that really only matters if you're using it for professional work. The Dell also made it onto RTINGS best of 202

I'm grabbing a 27"4k My selection so far: BenQ PD2706UBenQ MA270ULG 27UP850-WDell 27 Plus S2725QC I'm a designer as well so, like you, I need to care for colour accuracy and sharp details. None of 4ks will give it completely but adding the Better Display app reportedly solves the crispiness issue. A

I was in a similar situation. Bought the dell u2725qe, everything is top class except that colors seem faded. I wouldn’t recommend it despite all the rave reviews online For my secondary monitor, I’m now considering benq ma270u. I returned a dell P2725qe since the colors were as faded like the U. I

I am using BenQ MA270U. It is definitely worth it. It comes with some color profiles, which enables it to present colors similar to the MacBook, iPhone and iPad model you set. LG's entry-level products often have some minor problems. It is OK considering its price.

Benq ma270up is the glossy variant of a specific model that claims good pairing with macs also regarding color matching. I know because I'm planning to buy a monitor too, i follow the news. That specific model has been announced, check availability but if still not on sale it should be a matter of w

Update (12/16/25): I ended up buying the BenQ MA270U 27” since it fit in my budget and had good reviews. I noticed the display is actually brighter than my macbook screen (can’t really tell in the photo) and the color matching is good enough for me.
