Can my pi5 8gig version run ps2 games smoothly?

The Pi4 overclocked to the max and using a cooler plus cooling case could run pretty much all PS2 games at least at 720p. Not sure how that translates to the 5 since I don’t know if the emulator has been optimized for it. You’d be much better off with a mini Ryzen PC. I have a Beelink SER5 and can r

Which would you choose between these two?

I have the K8 Plus. The 6800H is a completely different processor from 2022. The 8845HS is newer with more powerful 780M integrated graphics from 2024. The Beelink SER5 MAX has soldered memory and no USB4. The K8 Plus has OCuLink and other features. The K8 Plus is more powerful and more future proof

Which is the better buy for 24/7 home server?

Definitely do not go for Aoostar or lesser quality brands. If your main worry is 24/7 reliability, I’d stop thinking in terms of “which one box is perfect?” and start thinking in terms of nodes in a cluster. The Beelink SER5 Max gives you a stronger iGPU and more RAM out of the box (6800H + 32 GB DD

Stronger alternative to Raspberry Pi?

I got a Beelink Mini PC SER5 Pro running SteamOS in one of my cabs and I absolutely love it.

There are way too many options available, even searching this sub its hard to figure out which I should get for budget PS2 Emulation.

Any mini with RDNA2 Radeon RX 680M integrated graphics + 32GB of memory is a solid starting point for BatoceraOS classic console emulation and/or a BazziteOS Steam Deck console. The recently released/oddly named Beelink SER5 MAX (SER6-LP) 6800U has been popular locally for such projects.

Tech help

the ram market is fuuuucked but for like 500 bucks you can get a decent mini pc, checkout the beelink SER5 max (7735hs, 24gb ram). I have a laptop with the same chip and beam runs at medium with a couple traffic cars pretty well. The iGPU is very good, mostly bottlenecked by the bandwidth of the ram

On Amazon...look twice...look again...shop carefully...

The 6800H is also better CPU-wise (by about 20%). There's also the 1tb version for 20 bucks more. Both have dual NVME slots. No 2.5gbe LAN, but I'd just get a USB adapter for that, they come cheap. https://www.amazon.com/Beelink-SER5-4-4GHz-Computer-Display/dp/B0C4GWLBTS/

Best Mini PC to Buy Right Now? (Performance, Value & Reliability)

I recently got a Beelink SER5 Max (Ryzen 7 7735HS 680M iGPU, 24GB) for my kids to play Minecraft (with some decent shader mods enabled), and it's surprisingly capable for 1080p gaming, I won't elaborate as there are a few youtube videos benchmarking a lot of games for this model so you can see exact

Good Mini-PC for playing PS4 Era and below Games

I'm gonna disagree with the other commenter and say you don't need much for PS4 era play if you're willing to downsize graphics settings. I got a used beelink ser5 for something like 350 and it can run god of war at 1080p at a locked 30fps. If you go up a hundred bucks obviously it'll have more hors
