Which would you choose between these two?

I have the K8 Plus. The 6800H is a completely different processor from 2022. The 8845HS is newer with more powerful 780M integrated graphics from 2024. The Beelink SER5 MAX has soldered memory and no USB4. The K8 Plus has OCuLink and other features. The K8 Plus is more powerful and more future proof

PC illiterate - Help on finding a mini

The problem with the Beelink SER5 MAX 7735HS beyond the rebadged 6800H processor is the cost cutting lack of USB4 and the fact it's never been listed on the official website. I've also read that these 24GB LPDDR5 memory Beelink minis have problems like this. https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniPCs/s/rECBW7

On Amazon...look twice...look again...shop carefully...

The 6800H is also better CPU-wise (by about 20%). There's also the 1tb version for 20 bucks more. Both have dual NVME slots. No 2.5gbe LAN, but I'd just get a USB adapter for that, they come cheap. https://www.amazon.com/Beelink-SER5-4-4GHz-Computer-Display/dp/B0C4GWLBTS/

Mac user keeping an N150 Windows mini PC for Windows only tasks, looking for model recommendations.

Don't get a Beelink. I just bought one, SER5 with AMD Ryzen 7. Had to spend over 4 hours to get Bluetooth to work (generic drivers installed for a MediaTek device?, and today it has shut down four times for no apparent reason. This is after the hours I spent migrating files, loading new applications

Advice on mini computers and Fedora

Have a Beelink S12 (N100), and three SER5s: 5825U, 5850U, and a 6800U (Ryzen 7s). The only one I have had an issue with is the 6800U with Fedora/Gnome/Wayland (Shuts off when opening certain menus in Gnome) think it's a Wayland/Driver issue on Fedora, because it works fine with Debian 13 Gnome/Wayla

Help my clueless butt pick a good mini pc

There's been reports of problems with Beelink minis like the EQR6 with soldered 24GB LPDDR5 memory. Yesterday u/TERRADUDE posted a experience with the SER5 MAX 24GB LPDDR5. The M7 has upgradable RAM, dual USB4 and OCuLink by comparison. A few things worth considering.

SER5 6800H rebooting with moderate processor load

I wound up buying the A8. Specifically, the GEEKOM A8 with AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS 33GB RAM / 1TB Hard drive. The 6800H was about $20 less when I ordered it, but for the money I thought the upgraded video was worth it. As long as I'm comparing the two... GEEKOM has 3 year warranty vs 1 year with Beelink.

Mini PC Recommendation

For what you’re trying to do, a mini PC is actually a great fit. Retro emulation up through GameCube/Wii and PS2 doesn’t need a dedicated GPU — a modern Ryzen‑based mini PC with strong integrated graphics will handle all of that easily, and it’ll also work perfectly as a small home server. In your p

DDR4 RAM - are there better barebones options than the AMD 5825u based MiniPCs?

Thanks yeah that's return switcheroo is a little...eh... From my research I can get a new barebones Gmktec M5 Plus 5825u for $240, a similar 5825u with ram and SSD for $275, or an open box reputable seller Beelink SER5 Max with 680m for $350. I can't imagine I'll magically solve my USB issue but I'm
