For those who bought 64GB Mac, are you (un)happy?

I am finding the 64GB M4 Pro mac mini pretty useful however on planning -> coding skills it still sucks relative to frontier models hosted in datacenters. When adding unit tests for instance it faked results on error and did all kind of other dumb things that I never once ever saw with Sonnet models

Oh that’s too bad. You should have bought a bigger SSD

Weird because I have a T7 I use for music production and I’ve been getting slow disk/overload errors in logic on an M4 Pro Mac mini with 24GB ram. That machine is more than capable of what I’m throwing at it and I’ve had 2015 Intel MacBooks and M1 MacBooks work larger projects off the same drive fin

For Base M1 Macbook Air users, did you decide to keep your air over the spirtual sucessor Macbook Neo and wy?

I don’t see a reason to trade in an M1 for a neo. That’s actually a downgrade. The point of the Neo is to address the worldwide economic collapse and provide competition for all the cheap, crappy windows laptops you see on display at Walmart and target and even Best Buy. If you have a base M1 then t

Starlight exporting at .1 FPS on RTX 5080, 192GB RAM, Gen 5 9100 Pro SSD, and Ultra9 275HX

You think that’s bad? I tried using Starlight Mini to upscale a single 480p TV episode to 4K, on an M4 Pro Mac mini with maxed out specs… the ETA was 2 months.

Mac Studio Owners - Should I sell or keep?

Why do you need to sell it? You have a more than capable machine that completely satisfies your needs. You don't need an upgrade and you don't need a side-grade. You just need to use what you have until it's no longer capable of doing what you require it to do. The M1 Max is still a beast. The idea

The demand for local AI could shape a new business model for Apple

They could price it at $1999 and take the whole market. That will never happen. The base M3 Ultra Mac Studio is already the same price as the DGX Spark, but with a quarter of the storage and 30% less memory. The M4 Max variant configured to the same spec as the Spark (4TB/128GB) is $4700. Even tryin

MiniSwift Studio

I am seeing a major performance issue when "Running" a program on my M4 Pro Mac mini. It takes 5-10 seconds for the screen to show or tapping on an item on the device screen.

I'm looking for the right mac desktop model for AAA title/indie gaming

DO NOT BUY A MAC FOR GAMING and do not over buy thinking that extra RAM or CPU will be the difference maker for games. A Mac mini has the M4 Pro option, way cheaper than a Studio. You can likely buy a M4 Pro Mac mini and a Switch2 cheaper than the base Mac Studio.
