Nikon Z50 II is the strongest all-around pick, with support for its lens ecosystem, autofocus, and image quality. Panasonic Lumix S5II is a strong alternative when video quality matters alongside image quality, while Nikon Z50 offers supported value, lens ecosystem, and image quality.
Choose Nikon Z5 II when image quality is your priority. Canon EOS R50 has stronger support for autofocus and portability, while Canon EOS R7 and Sony a6700 are worthwhile alternatives for lens ecosystem, image quality, and autofocus.
