it has the same exact sensor. It doesn't have the same sensor. Although Nikon introduced a 20.9MP sensor in 2017 with the D500, it's undergone two major upgrades since then: the first to the Z30/Z50/Zfc's sensor to add phase detect autofocus and improve readout speed, and again for the Z50II to give

Suffered (enjoyed?) this for a life time. The Last few years I simplified my attack to smallness/lightness as my new rule. No 2.8 zooms. Z30. 12-28 Z Nikon. 10.5mm Nikon on an F2Z thing. No strap. Just belt clip. And a belt clip holder for the 2nd lens. Having so much fun. ❣️

Your main issue isn’t the Z30, it’s low light + autofocus limits + movement. First thing: in dark scenes, autofocus struggles because there’s not enough contrast. That’s why it feels like it’s “not focusing.” Try switching to manual focus and using focus peaking. It’s way more reliable in abandoned/

Yes, each camera maker nowadays has an app that can pair your phone with your camera, you could use this to enable autofocus, take photos, take video, change settings, etc. Usually it's a bit annoying compared to using the camera, but better than using an old school remote shutter release. Sometimes a lens can be good for a purpose even if it is not the best at passing pixel-peeping tests. I just got a 70-300 AF-S VR lens for use on my Z30. My intended use is wildlife video. This is a very undemanding use case. What's needed is only decent VR. One other thing I just re-discovered is t

Nikon doesn’t have any 1.2 autofocus lenses. You’ll need to buy a manual focus lens to get that aperture. There are two variants of the 50 1.4 lens that autofocus. The 50 1.4 G lens is the latest one that is compatible with the D300. To get the similar results from a Nikon, you would need to purchas

Serbia, if there is something new within this budget, I would probably prefer that. I was also looking at the Nikon Z30 kit (16–50mm + 50–250mm), but used gear is also completely fine for me if it offers better value.

Samyang 8mm 2.8 on Fuji XT 30. Quite good. And I have FujiX to Nikon Z adapter. So, also wonderful on Z30 Nikon….

Segmentation is more justified at the lower end of the market where $400 is a lot of money. There’s a lot of cameras Nikon could make. Z7iii, Zf with 45MP sensor, a high-end APS-C camera, etc. Zfc and Z30 are still waiting on EXPEED 7 updates, as well, and there’s probably a bunch of R&D work going

I don't recommend a Ricoh if you want to do any amout of video work. It's a photography first camera and video is very limited. Get something like a Nikon Z30 or Z50ii with the Nikkor 24mm f1.7, or a Fujifilm X-M5 with a similar lens. It'll cost you less and get you better results. Plus you'll have
