I love my loft apartment but can my system handle it?

I had the same KEF speakers with the exact equivalent Marantz unit. Same Eames chair too 😂. It's the setup. I replaced the fronts with Wharfedale Super Lintons and got the depth I craved. We moved, then I added an Advance Paris A12 Classic and they really shine. I still use the Marantz for TV listen

Reverse Engineering the Wharfedale Dovedale 90th Anniversary Speakers

If you are going through the effort of doing a custom build you should use a higher quality mid and tweeter. You can have better sensitivity, less basket resonance on the mid, and a higher first breakup mode on the tweeter. https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-SIG150-4-5.25-Signature-Series-Wo

A good night with polar opposites, wine and a view.

To be honest, I both love and hate how revealing these Dunlavys are. On something like the classic example — Led Zeppelin — the clarity is unreal. You really do get that “oh wow… this is probably what Jimmy Page actually heard in the studio” moment. The lows go deep without getting sloppy, even when

Upgraded my system after 15 years, and I’m not impressed.

I went through a similar situation. Went from an 1980’s Pioneer SX3700 to a Yamaha S701. I love the Pioneer but it needs to be serviced as it’s over 40 years old. At first, I really disliked the Yamaha . Going from a retro Class A amp rated at 35 watts per channel to a 100 watts per channel Class AB

Klipsch Heritage speakers don't just sound live, they are live (Theory)

I’ve gone back and forth on klipsch. Had a chance to buy the heresy iv. I bought Kef instead and am happy. On the verge of buying again now and deciding between Kef and wharfedale super lintons. I just have heard people say that klipsch are great BUT BUT BUT BUT….you know? They look amazing. But the

In your opinion, what would be the opposite of my Wharfedale Lintons in terms of sound?

The opposite is a bright speaker with narrow dispersion like a Klipsch RP 😅 or even brighter: B&W 607 S2 Seriously though, since you like the Linton wide sound dispersion, maybe take a look at something a bit brighter but still wide like the Wharfedale Evo or Aura lineup. Hope this helps

Phoenix & Havasu Vinyl Quality

Nice setup! I've got the Wharfedale Lintons with a Yamaha RN-600A. I have been loving the depth and soundstage with Bazan's albums. The song Modesto is absolutely amazing.

Speakers for 3 grand, EU, warmer sound

Always try to get speakers secondhand if you can - they are mostly wooden boxes, so furniture, not tech. Harbeth is the first name that springs to mind for what you say you want, with Spendor Classic equally appealing and Sonus Faber options not that far behind. Harbeth Super HL5 and Spendor Classic

In your opinion, what would be the opposite of my Wharfedale Lintons in terms of sound?

Haven't heard the Linton Heritage 's but I reckon they got a retro 70's style soundstage = warm, laid back, forgiving, not the best resolution, speed or forward mids &/ treble. My previous floorstanders were like that + pretty dark. They were not in the 2k range tho. Get yourself the floorstander th
