well, this is clearly microsoft trying to deny responsibility. Yesterday, I encountered a similar issue with my secondary nvme SSD even though I had already uninstalled KB5063878 (i guess the as others mentioned the servicing stack still applied and can't be roll back). My WD Black SN850 1TB drive r

WD SN850 4TB here. My PC froze to death once, when I tried install app from local file, but after reset all was ok. Installed Cyberpunk and Dead Space from steam without problem. Uninstalled KB5063878.

Just a quick update on the laptop. It was the SSD. I got a new SSD from wal-mart for 120 bucks (Microcenter wanted $170 for the same drive), installed windows again and I'm up and running. Now I need to figure out how to get a warranty return for my bad WD-Black SN850 as it has a 5 year warranty and

WD drives have their own different issues. SN850 and SN770 reported by others, and me personally I've had issues with the SN750 and SN550. Never forget the Sandisk drives that used to up and die on their own.

Yep, I actually do have a WD SSD, it’s a WD Black SN850X Interesting that you mention firmware, because the issue here is super weird but very consistent: a fresh Windows install works perfectly, multiple reboots, no issues… …but the moment Steam launches automatically at startup, the next reboot ca

Get a SN850 instead of the 990pro because of the 0E and low health problem.

I had severe problems with 580&850 blue/black to get them to support aspm and let the cpu power down correctly. Yes samsung fugged up the 990pro initially. Thats why never buy instantly, always give some age time. Regarding performance: there is quite a limited amount of scenarios where an ssd limit

can't remember exactly what the issue was for me but i consistently ran into problems having windows on the same drive (not often, but consistently, once every few months maybe) i would personally just throw the OS you think you'll use less on the SN850
