Hi, yeah, both main drives I tried (WD SN7100 and Samsung PM981a are on the QVL list. But the same thing happens if I put my SN850X on those slots. Not recognized at all on the no. 2, and X1 on the no.3.

I have a WD SN7100 and a 980 evo. I'm pretty sure they are supported. I'm pretty sure in my case, it started happening after I installed CachyOS to the drive with Windows. I have a 2TB WD black SN7100. No issues except it is painfully slow when formatted as APFS. That might be the dock (10gbps). Transfers about 1000 when formatted as exfat, 900 in MacOS journaled, which is right in line with what the dock manufacturer says os max throughput. Its about 900% slower when
