Hi extradudeguy, Thank you for your quick response and the guidance regarding mainline kernels. Anything you'd consider changing with this build?

Look at mbo something like a msi mag b850 max tomahawk wifi. Save the money from that an put it into a 5080. Oh but stay away from asro

Asrock B450 Pro 4 Not compatible with some SSD`s

The WD Black SN7100 is working on my ASRock b350 pro4, but only in the M2_2 Slot, not the faster Ultra M2_1. In order to get it working I installed a newer UEFI version (10.xx) and β€” most importantly β€” activated the "Force PCIe on M2_2" by switching from "Auto" to "Yes". I'm still quite frustrated as

First PC build in Canada β€” sanity check before I buy

I'd try not to end up with a single stick in this kind of price range. Other than that it's reasonable. Is the a3 something you want for sure? It's basically the same size as a normal atx midtower if you just cut the height in half. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/VhkzNp Still a little over $2000 i

First pc build, need help.

It's not a thing the sn7100 is the successor of sn770, if you have the budget you can go for sn850x since it does have a dram cache instead of hmb
