Need a "Heavier" Knife for Everyday Use

Wait which Fibrox weighs that much? The 25 cm should weigh 200 grams give or take... That said, I would recommend the Wüsthof Classic Ikon, but I'm not sure it's within budget where you live. The 20cm is 267 grams (8", 9.4oz) and the 23cm is 288 grams (9", 10.1oz).

A moment of silence for the fallen soldier

A Classic Ikon too. Some of my favorite knives are Ikon knives, they're fantastic. If they won't warranty that knife, you can get a replacement pretty easy. They run $145 US on the WÜSTHOF website or on their Amazon store. https://wusthof.com/products/wusthof-classic-ikon-5-serrated-utility-knife-10

I require knife. Send help

To add on to that the Wüsthof Classic Ikon is the more affordable version of the Ikon. Only difference is that the handle is not made of wood.

Beginner knives for non chefs! Not worried about extreme sharpness just want to buy something and use it forever

Here's the counter to your spin "Wusthof knives are highly recommended for beginners because they are durable, safe, and versatile workhorses. However, they are quite expensive." Advice

Ah great you’ve got experience with the exact same one. So for this price, would you buy it again? I’ve got a nakiri from Sakai (friend of mine brought it from Japan) which is carbon steel (most likely Shirogami #2). The experience is phenomenal and I’d like to buy a gyuto with similar characteristi

Kaufhilfefaden November 2025

1st Knife search

What about wüsthof chef's knife? The one I linked is a chef knife ;) And FYI, the Wüsthof Ikon line is different from the Wüsthof Classic Ikon. It's more expensive, basically because the handle is made of wood. With the Classic Ikon you get the shape and performance of the Ikon but with a lower cost

My first chef knives

I'm looking to get my first chef knives and I really love cooking as a home cook. To save some money I've been looking to get some knives second hand. Recently I came across a set of Wüstenhof knives (11 knives and a sharpener) for about $250. The knives looks like they're in decent condition. So I
