Nem csak a kesen mulik, azon is, hogy mit vagsz, es min vagsz. Nekem ez a fo kesem, 9 eve hasznalom, 16 cm elhossz, CLASSIC sorozat. Meg van hozza ket fenokove

Quality starter set

It's a really lovely thing that you want to spend that much on your son and towards something that he will use. My only advice would be maybe not spend it on knives. I mean don't get me worng some knives are very expensive but without using or at the very least having holding them in person you coul

Worth upgrading from Victorinox to a nicer knife?

For anyone who upgraded from a Victorinox (Wüsthof, MAC, Shun, Japanese stuff, etc.) — did you feel a noticeable improvement? Or is Victorinox already good enough for 90% of people and the upgrade is more of a luxury thing? I mean, both? Especially if you venture into the more expensive knives it be

Chef Knives—where to start?

Wusthof is all you need. One santoku, one chef’s, one paring, one cheese, one bread. All I’ve got, all I need, use them every day, family of six, ten years strong. I just got a 5 inch Santoku for my six year old.

My mom wants a good, reliable set for Christmas. Steak knives aren't necessarily required but would be nice, but we'd like to keep it under $800 or so. Most of the stuff she makes is homemade. Protein, veggies, you name it. I'll add more context in comments!

Everyone will hype up Japanese knives and all these makers. Even budget j knives are to much and not what she needs. As a chef of 25 years who also sold knives on the side for shun and wusthof and smaller j knife makers through a bougie store get a wusthof block. https://www.williams-sonoma.com/prod

Kitchen Must-Haves

I'm not a professional chef but my ex husband is and I love to cook! Here are my recommendations for a dream kitchen setup and things I use almost daily: A really good chef's knife (6-7 inch blade) or knife set - I'm a fan of Wusthof but Shun or Henckels are also good. Get a set that you can sharpen

Looking to buy my nephew a good “first” chef. Leaning towards Mac Pro 8”. Suggestions?

I own both the Wusthof classic 8-inch and 10-inch chef knives. I like the 10-inch knife better. It is more powerful and can do more since it is longer. The 10-inch is a scaled-up version of the 8-inch knife. I only bought the 8-inch classic Wusthof because it was recommended by internet people sayin

Knife advice

I like Henckles. Ide say, if you can spare an extra 100, wusthof is just about as perfect as you'll need to start they have a three piece set with an 8 inch chef knife, serrated knife, and paring knife. This is about all you need. I recommend the one with the metal bolster, bit the black plastic one

A moment of silence for the fallen soldier

A Classic Ikon too. Some of my favorite knives are Ikon knives, they're fantastic. If they won't warranty that knife, you can get a replacement pretty easy. They run $145 US on the WÜSTHOF website or on their Amazon store. https://wusthof.com/products/wusthof-classic-ikon-5-serrated-utility-knife-10

looking for a Japanese knife set with beautiful handles

Question. Why are you so fixated on getting a knife set? First not all but a lot of sets inflate their price with unorthodox knives that you would never need to use. Second not all but many knife sets are composed of cheap knives. These are a couple reasons why people say not to get a knife set. The
