I own both the Wusthof classic 8-inch and 10-inch chef knives. I like the 10-inch knife better. It is more powerful and can do more since it is longer. The 10-inch is a scaled-up version of the 8-inch knife. I only bought the 8-inch classic Wusthof because it was recommended by internet people sayin

Im at a loss. I've bought countless sets but have never found one with truly sharp pieces. Here desperately looking for recommendations that will slice effortlessly through a tomato like warm butter.
If I sharpen a Wusthof Classic at 15 degrees it will cut paper thin. Probably not as thin as some of the thin Japanese knives but transparent. Good enough for me. I have a picture but I cannot post it. I never use anything that thin anyway. I agree with not buying a set. Buy the knives you need. A 1
