The e3200 is the only plug and play option for the g3100, since they are designed to work together. Verizon is the only router "manufacturer" I know of that integrates moca into their routers and extenders. If you insist on having Verizon hardware, why not just get a G3100 and two E3200 extenders to do exactly what you want? No configuration to do, it just works.

you have a few options -Call and make sure to talk to verizon fios tech support to have a tech come out and MOVE the router to a central area for better wifi signal (as long as you call within the first 7 days of install the order to move ONT, router, or run a new ethernet cable is free) after the 7

You can just take the G3100 out without calling Verizon. I highly recommend using Ethernet backhaul between the ASUS Mesh nodes. At Gigabit speeds, wireless backhaul struggles or doesn't give you the appropriate spacing. ASUS gives you a setting in the GUI to enable if you have all of your nodes on
