No, you won't need a moca adapter. The g3100 has one built in just like the g1100 (or any Verizon branded fios router). The g3100 would be a direct replacement of the g1100. No extra setup or wiring needed.

The e3200 extenders hardly ever go bad. It should last over a decade as long as there's no crazy power surges that might fry it like any other electronic.
