What gives? My NAS doesn't reach the advertised speeds of 1000 Mbps. Stuck only at 100 Mbps.
TL;DR - Every device on my LAN network can reach 1000 Mbps, except my NAS, which only reaches 100 Mbps. I've tried different cables, switches, router ports, and delved into the command line and trying to force high speeds with `ethtool`. No luck.
EDIT 2: I ended up returning my NAS due to its faul

It's funny you made this thread as I was about to make a post about how NFS is broken with the DXP2800. There is most definitely a problem with the current NFS implementation. Is anyone successfully using a Ugreen NAS as a NFS server with no issues?? Also, NFSv3 is the highest available NFS version

Cheap setup to learn TrueNAS basics before major investment
The problem with using cheap as your only requirement is that chances are if you decide to really use it, it wont meet your actual storage and usage needs. Are you using this as file storage, to host apps/vm’s/services, for media/large file storage, etc? What sort of networking do you need…1Gbps, 2.

DXP2800 SSD Cache, Worth It?
From my experience totally, absolutely NOT! I also have a DXP2800 with 2-8TB BarraCuda Seagate drives. The problems started when I decided to install a Samsung 980 Pro SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive to use as a cache drive. Eventually I started receiving over temp beeps and log msgs, so I tried improvi

DDR5 to DDR4 on the new DXP
If I recall correctly, last November the regular DXP2800 pricing was 349 euros and I was able to purchase one unit directly from the Ugreen store with a 25% (20%+5%) discount, which was around 260 euros. Now, my major surprise is the 40+% in regular price jump for a questionable better product. With

I have a MacBook M1 Max, and I use APFS internal and external drives. My Ugreen DXP2800 NAS has a BRFS drive, and a connected USB drive is formatted in EXT4.It was previously exFAT. Problems have always occurred regardless of the destination and size.Files of 300KB, 10MB, and 1GB randomly fail. __ F

WRITE FPDMA QUEUED error
Adding the kernel parameter to downgrade the ata speed to 3.0gbps seems to eliminate the problem completely. One problem is, this setting doesn't seem to survive firmware updates, so you have to re-apply after every update. It would be nice if Ugreen added a setting/toggle in UGOS to set the ata spe

DXP2800 NIC wont operate @ 2.5Gbps - even with a UGreen 2.5Gbps switch. You get 100Mbps

What gives? My NAS doesn't reach the advertised speeds of 1000 Mbps. Stuck only at 100 Mbps.
A few weeks ago, I had a strange issue with my DXP2800. Transfers between the NAS and the router would be capped at 2-3MB/s after I had rearranged its position, likely pulling on the ethernet cable. I had to restrict the max speed on the router's ethernet port to 100Mbps or it would not connect to t
